What customers say
This is a friendly and well-maintained campsite with spacious pitches, clean facilities and a convenient on-site shop. Guests enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, attractive fishing lakes, and the helpfulness of the staff. While some mention the need for shower block upgrades and that pitches can be sloped, the overall experience is highly positive, with many visitors expressing a desire to return.

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked We liked the location, as we were visiting our daughter so it was a convenient site, nice pub not far away Cock at Muggington, and also easy access to various places for visiting. Easy check in and very friendly, site is easily accessible and signposted. Would stay again maybe in the better weather.
Disliked The pitches are very uneven so took a lot of levelling, also there is some building work going on, which doesn’t affect the pitches, but as it was raining heavily whilst we were there, it did make the site quite muddy. The shower/toilets were ok but found them small.

Lovely off season site for us
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Location is not far from home for us, the site has good facilities, I think some would say maybe not enough facilities if the campsite was full, however it was absolutely not an issue for us.
Great for walkers and the walk to the pub is one of the nicest we have done from a campsite, it is up and down, but I have a heart issue and the wife Asthma and we coped... probably as there was a pint involved. The return walk we did after the sun went down at dusk and eventually darkness, however it is one of the prettiest walks we have done and with a pair of head torches we were fine.
You will need levelling ramps, only because the whole site slants, but no major issue.
We would definitely return.
Disliked Not a dislike as such, however if the site had of been full and we had extended our awning to sit under, then the grass area at the side of the Motorhome would have felt very hemmed in. The spaces between the vans/caravans seems tight.

Liked Good location, lovely setting, friendly and helpful manager. would certainly visit again
Disliked It had rained a lot so the grass adjacent to the hardstanding was very wet, too wet to erect the awning. The site is also being redeveloped with residential mobile homes - as a consequence the access roads (mostly cinder) were extremely muddy and churned up. to be fair the noise from construction was not too obvious.

Liked Pin access for late arrival. Easy to navigate the site.
Disliked Uneven pitches, we still had a slope after using our ramps! Small toilets and showers for such a large site.

Overall a delightful little place for a weekend getaway.
Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked What a delightful little site. Lovely and peaceful. Little shop is well stocked. Shower and toilet facilities clean and pleasant. Really nice for a weekend getaway.
Disliked Not so much a dislike, just some observations:
- You will need leveling ramps as the pitches are quite slanted. Some of the other vans were having to use several bits of wood to keep level
- Not much to do on site, but then it doesn't claim to be an entertainment venue. Just bring plenty to do
- Bins and elsan were hard to find and not clearly signposted
