  • Coastal site in Llanddulas, just off the A55 North Wales Expressway
  • A 15-minute drive from Llandudno and 25 minutes from Snowdonia
  • Stunning views; a short walk from the Wales Coast Path
If you’re off on a jaunt to the north Wales coast, max out your sea-viewing times by settling among the smart facilities at Bron-Y-Wendon Holiday Park in the little village of Llanddulas. If this place were any closer to the Irish Sea it’d be getting its toes wet: there are views out over the waves and towards Llandudno’s Great Orme from all around the park, and a rocky beach with access to the scenic coastal path is just a short stroll away. Getting in, out and around is straightforward, however you choose to travel. The sandy beaches of Colwyn Bay and Rhos on Sea are 20 to 30 minutes away by bus; there's also access to Llandudno by bus from the village for more car-free days out. The site is just off the A55 North Wales Expressway, and a mere couple of minutes’ walk from the Wales Coast Path for bike rides and walks (with a furry pal by your side should you wish, as dogs are welcome on site). Over in the village centre (10 minutes’ walk away) are a pub, restaurant, garage and chip shop (essential when the seaside is within walking distance…) Facilities on site include a launderette and a wifi service, along with a play area to keep the kids entertained while the grownups put their feet up. Days out around these parts can be as leisurely or as active as you like. Within a 15-minute drive you can be playing a round of golf or pootling around Bodnant Garden; drive a little further to tackle Zip World's adrenaline-pumping offerings.

What customers say

This is a well-maintained, clean site with excellent sea views and friendly, helpful staff. Many guests highlight the convenient location for coastal walks and public transport. While most find the facilities good, some note road and train noise, and a few mention dated amenities or uneven pitches. The site is popular for its spacious pitches and easy access.

Views were amazing across to Llandudno, especially the sunsets. Short walk to beach and coastal path way, cannot fault at all, would definitely use again.

Liked Sea view, quiet site and everywhere nice and clean.

Disliked I find minimum card spends highly frustrating, appreciate the card fees need to be taken into account, but not being able to buy a single bottle of water when needed was frustrating, wouldn’t be so bad if there was plenty of other items to buy, but there wasn’t.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your review and for choosing to stay with us. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the beautiful sea views, peaceful atmosphere, nearby beach and the cleanliness of the site.

We're sorry to hear of your frustration regarding the minimum card spend. As an independent business, we have to carefully balance rising operating costs and transaction charges, which is why a minimum spend is in place on lower-value card purchases. We appreciate that this can occasionally be inconvenient, particularly when you only need a single item, and we do understand your point.

Thank you for your feedback, which we will take into consideration as we continue to review the services and facilities we offer. We're pleased that overall you enjoyed your stay and we hope to welcome you back again in the future.

Liked Nice site, but somewhat busy at times, but be aware, you can hear the traffic from the North Wales Expressway nearby & there is a regular train service that runs at the bottom of the site.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your review and for your kind comments about the site. We’re pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay overall, although we appreciate that at times the site can feel busy especially over bank holidays and school holidays. As we are located close to the North Wales Expressway and railway line, there can occasionally be some background noise from traffic and passing train and many guests still enjoy the setting and surroundings.

We’re sorry that the bikes and scooters impacted your stay. For the safety and comfort of all guests, cycling and scootering are not permitted anywhere on the park for either children or adults. Our team regularly monitors the park whilst out and about, and during your stay we were reminding anyone seen cycling or scootering not to do so on park.

Thank you again for your feedback.

Liked Nice pitch. Good shower block. Good for cycling/walking along the sea front. Lovely stay.

Disliked The traffic noise might displease some, but it didn't bother us at all. More recycling bins within the site would be nice.

From the manager: Thank you for your lovely review, Dave.

We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay, especially the pitch, shower facilities, and our fantastic location for cycling and coastal walks along the seafront.

We also appreciate your helpful feedback regarding the recycling bins and will certainly take this on board as we continue improving the site for our guests.

Thank you as well for mentioning the traffic noise in a balanced way, we know this can affect guests differently, so it’s always useful feedback for future visitors.

Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch

Liked Touring pitches look randomly spaced, but I think that's by design, and gives it a good quirky look, but each looked to have lots of usable space, great views of the sea from across the site, very well kept lawns, toilet block was always clean, less than 10 mins walk to the sea front and a great cycle path.

Disliked Trains run along the bottom of the site, but not really a problem, they were short trains and wafted by quietly.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your lovely review, Andrew. We’re really pleased you enjoyed the spacious layout of the touring pitches and the sea views across the site. It’s great to hear the quirky spacing and well-kept grounds added to the overall feel of your stay, and that you found the facilities clean and the location convenient for the seafront and cycle path.

We also appreciate you mentioning the railway line nearby. As you noted, the trains are generally short and pass quietly, but it’s helpful for future guests to know.

We hope to welcome you and your family back again soon.

Electric gravel motorhome pitch (no awning)

Liked Easy walking access to the coastal path.

Disliked Pitch was overlooked from all sides and not even level. Views of the sea were blocked by other vans. Cold showers. Road noise. Far too expensive for what it is.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback following your stay in April. We’re pleased to hear you enjoyed the easy access to the coastal path, it’s something many of our guests value.

We’re sorry to hear that other aspects of your stay didn’t meet your expectations. We understand how important pitch positioning, privacy, and comfort are. Many of our guests do let us know during their stay if they’re unhappy with a pitch, and we’re always happy to try and find a suitable alternative where availability allows.

We’re also sorry to hear about your experience with the showers. We haven’t had any other reports of issues with water temperature, so had this been brought to our attention at the time, we would have investigated and done our best to resolve it as quickly as possible. As a small team, we do rely on guests letting us know if something isn’t right so we can address it promptly.

With regard to road noise, we are transparent that the park is located near the A55, and this is reflected in the information provided prior to booking. In terms of pricing, we aim to remain competitive with other parks in the North Wales area, while continuing to invest in and maintain our facilities.

Thank you again for your feedback.

Local attractions

Bit of gentle activity? There are of course some cracking coast path walks just up the road, and there’s a golf course five minutes’ drive away in Abergele. Bodnant Garden (15 minutes’ drive) is an excellent place for a wander among gorgeous floral displays, and it just happens to be home to the Welsh Food Centre as well for stocking up on tasty treats while you’re there. For creature-viewing outings, take a wander around the Welsh Mountain Zoo (10 minutes). If you’d rather try to catch glimpses of passing birds and wildlife out in the open, keep eyes peeled on walks in Snowdonia National Park; Betws-y-Coed (35 minutes) is a good place to start walks. If you’re up for local thrills, swoosh down the slides at SC2 waterpark (15 minutes) or shoot along the fastest zipline in the world at Zip World Penrhyn Quarry (35 minutes).
