What customers say

This well-maintained site offers stunning sea views and easy access to coastal walks and public transport. Visitors praise the friendly, helpful staff and the cleanliness of the facilities, including toilets and showers. Pitches are generally spacious and well-laid out. While most guests enjoy the location and amenities, some mention noise from the nearby A55 and railway line. A few reviewers noted Wi-Fi charges and limited on-site provisions.

Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch

Liked Tidy site, friendly helpful staff

Disliked Incessant A55 road noise, noise from trains very close by. Caravan pitches too closely spaced and configured

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re pleased to hear you appreciated the cleanliness of the site and our friendly team.

We do understand that our location won’t suit everyone. The site sits between the A55 and the coastal railway line, and we are always open about this in our description. For many guests, the benefit is the excellent accessibility and position right on the North Wales coast, but we appreciate the road and rail noise can feel intrusive for some.

Regarding our pitch layout, the “horse-shoe” shaped areas are also intentional so that the park doesn’t end up looking like a car park, which can be the case on more regimented sites. We do take on board your comments about spacing and orientation, as we are always looking at ways to improve guest experience where possible.

We’re sorry to hear that you don’t plan to return, but we do thank you for acknowledging the positives and hope you enjoy your future caravanning trips.

Electric gravel motorhome pitch (no awning)

Liked Easy to get to, getting off the main motorway and yiou are there.
Site is immaculate in its neatness.
Nice friendly staff, very organised and helpful.
Toilets, showers and washing up areas always clean.
Having hot water most welcome and comforting.
Great views and easy walk down to the water.
Good hook-up and water in bollards that are shared between two plots is really nice and convenient.
These have light at night so its never too dark which is a good thing.
Good waste facilities - best I've ever seen.
Well functioning entry and exit card sysyem was a nice surprise, one always doubts them in Europe.
Only stayed over 1 night and a very pleasant stay it was.
If returning in the summer, a plot with an awning would be preferable.
We always are well stocked with food and essentials so were fine with not having a full shop on site.
Grreat

Disliked Bit Noisy - More in the summer or when its not raining.
Was ok as it was raining mostly and the windows skylights were closed.
It the wifi was included, it would be a very nice.
The presence of static caravans that were no in use at this time of year made the place seem empty and lifeless - it did make the place more private, not really a bad thing.

Electric gravel touring pitch (no awning)

Liked Beautiful well spaced out plots. Can't comment on facilities as I have my own so didn't use them. Whole site was spotless and very well kept. Lovely views of the sea from our moho.

Disliked Bit disappointing we couldn't really get near the sea due to the erosion measures in place (huge rocks) but there was a lovely grassed area on the seafront where my dogs could play. There was also a stream which they could paddle in.

Local attractions

Bit of gentle activity? There are of course some cracking coast path walks just up the road, and there’s a golf course five minutes’ drive away in Abergele. Bodnant Garden (15 minutes’ drive) is an excellent place for a wander among gorgeous floral displays, and it just happens to be home to the Welsh Food Centre as well for stocking up on tasty treats while you’re there. For creature-viewing outings, take a wander around the Welsh Mountain Zoo (10 minutes) or scoot up to SeaQuarium Rhyl (15 minutes). If you’d rather try to catch glimpses of passing birds and wildlife out in the open, keep eyes peeled on walks in the Snowdonia National Park; Betws-y-Coed (35 minutes) is a good place to start walks. If you’re up for local thrills, swoosh down the slides at SC2 waterpark (15 minutes), take to the mountain-ringed surf lagoon at Adventure Parc Snowdonia (25 minutes) or shoot along the fastest zipline in the world at Zip World Penrhyn Quarry (35 minutes).
