  • Coastal site in Llanddulas, just off the A55 North Wales Expressway
  • A 15-minute drive from Llandudno and 25 minutes from Snowdonia
  • Stunning views; a short walk from the Wales Coast Path
If you’re off on a jaunt to the north Wales coast, max out your sea-viewing times by settling among the smart facilities at Bron-Y-Wendon Holiday Park in the little village of Llanddulas. If this place were any closer to the Irish Sea it’d be getting its toes wet: there are views out over the waves and towards Llandudno’s Great Orme from all around the park, and a rocky beach with access to the scenic coastal path is just a short stroll away. Getting in, out and around is straightforward, however you choose to travel. The sandy beaches of Colwyn Bay and Rhos on Sea are 20 to 30 minutes away by bus; there's also access to Llandudno by bus from the village for more car-free days out. The site is just off the A55 North Wales Expressway, and a mere couple of minutes’ walk from the Wales Coast Path for bike rides and walks (with a furry pal by your side should you wish, as dogs are welcome on site). Over in the village centre (10 minutes’ walk away) are a pub, restaurant, garage and chip shop (essential when the seaside is within walking distance…) Facilities on site include a launderette and a wifi service, along with a play area to keep the kids entertained while the grownups put their feet up. Days out around these parts can be as leisurely or as active as you like. Within a 15-minute drive you can be playing a round of golf or pootling around Bodnant Garden; drive a little further to tackle Zip World's adrenaline-pumping offerings.

What customers say

Stunning sea views, spotless site, and ace staff. Great base for North Wales, easy coastal path & bus access. Patios are generally roomy. Some folk found the traffic/train noise a bit loud, and a few thought the facilities were a bit old-fashioned. Highly recommended for the spot and views!

From the manager: Thank you for your lovely review, Debbie. We’re really pleased to hear that you enjoyed our clean and well kept toilet and shower facilities, the pitches, and the service you received from our reception team.

We completely understand your comments regarding our location between the A55 and railway line. Unfortunately, it is something we cannot change, but we do appreciate that the road and railway noise may not suit everyone. Our location and the potential for traffic and train noise are highlighted in our booking information so guests can make an informed choice before visiting.

Thank you again for choosing to stay with us.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, James. We’re pleased to hear you enjoyed your sea view pitch, found our staff friendly and were happy with the facilities.

We appreciate your comments regarding the early arrival charge and the road noise. Our standard check in time is from 2pm, and any early arrivals are subject to a small additional charge. This is applied consistently so that we can manage early arrivals fairly for all our guests.

As for the road, our location between the A55 and railway line is clearly highlighted on our website and booking information. We appreciate that traffic noise can be noticeable, particularly at busier times, although many guests do enjoy the convenience of our location and the fantastic sea views.

Thank you again for staying with us and for your feedback.

From the manager: Thank you very much for your lovely review! We’re delighted to hear that you found our team very friendly, enjoyed the beautifully maintained park and appreciated our wonderful location.

As you mentioned, being situated between the A55 and railway line does mean that some road and train noise can be heard, and we do appreciate you mentioning this. We’re pleased that it didn’t detract from your overall stay.

Thank you again for recommending us, and we hope to welcome you and your family back to Bron-Y-Wendon Holiday Park in the future.

Local attractions

Bit of gentle activity? There are of course some cracking coast path walks just up the road, and there’s a golf course five minutes’ drive away in Abergele. Bodnant Garden (15 minutes’ drive) is an excellent place for a wander among gorgeous floral displays, and it just happens to be home to the Welsh Food Centre as well for stocking up on tasty treats while you’re there. For creature-viewing outings, take a wander around the Welsh Mountain Zoo (10 minutes). If you’d rather try to catch glimpses of passing birds and wildlife out in the open, keep eyes peeled on walks in Snowdonia National Park; Betws-y-Coed (35 minutes) is a good place to start walks. If you’re up for local thrills, swoosh down the slides at SC2 waterpark (15 minutes) or shoot along the fastest zipline in the world at Zip World Penrhyn Quarry (35 minutes).
