  • Well-maintained site 10 minutes' walk from Lacock village centre
  • A half-hour drive to Bath; 45 minutes to Stonehenge or Longleat
  • Dog-friendly site with playground and dedicated ball games area
What’s on your wishlist for a Wiltshire outdoor break? A peaceful location? Easy access from a main road? A village close by so you can easily walk to a pub and shop? Somewhere family friendly that also accepts dogs? If you nodded at any – or indeed all – of the above, you’ll most likely be rather taken with Piccadilly Caravan Park, in a rural spot 10 minutes’ walk from the National Trust village of Lacock. That handy position means you’ll have several lovely pubs and independent shops very close by, and you’ll also be able to stop in at Lacock Abbey, an 800-year-old site that’s had starring roles in both Downton Abbey and the Harry Potter films. As well as being handily within reach of all this, the park is only a little way off the A350, putting it in a good position for getting out and about to explore the rest of what Wiltshire (and beyond) has to offer. Day trips to Bath, Stonehenge and Longleat are all easily doable from here, as are all sorts of rural walks and bike rides. Around the site’s well-kept grounds are a good collection of facilities, including a playground and a designated games field where the kids can have a good run around. Dogs, too, have a dedicated exercise area where they can stretch their paws properly. Showers, toilets, a washing-up area and a launderette are also part of the picture, and the team here pride themselves on keeping the facilities clean and the grounds in excellent shape.

Electric optional hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: This was a well thought out site. The way it was split up made each area feel individual rather than one big park. It was good to be left to my own devices but Reception was there if needed. The dog walking area was a bonus for early and late "admin walks" (to do her business!). All in all I'd go back and am just deciding when.

Disliked: The toilet and shower blocks were not the most modern or swish I've seen but were always clean.

Electric optional hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: First time here, the site was clean and pitches well spaced out. A brand new play park if you have children/grand children in view of most pitches. Nice peaceful site not far from the local facilities. Definitely returning. Our pitch had water and electric nearby. Very reasonably priced.

Disliked: Lack of path to the waste bins as grass was very wet at the time of visiting other than that all was great.

Electric optional hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: Gravel pitches meant that we didn’t get stuck in the mud as the grass was very boggy after all the rain. Very clean. Very close to Lacock for a walk to the Abbey. Small site and a lovely new play area for children.
