Lovely location, views & owner, great pricing, great stay overall
Non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Lovely location, having some nice clean toilets available was great! The little pitches are mown out so you just choose a spot and pitch up and there’s plenty of room between you and a neighbour so you’re not uncomfortably close to someone else. Gentleman owner came out and greeted each individual camper and had a little chat which was lovely. We didn’t use it but there is a washing up area which I’m sure is very useful to others. It is very quiet and peaceful, no traffic or public transport noise which was perfect for our one night stopover to break up a long trip home.
Disliked It’s nothing they can change but I had absolutely no signal coming through the village and onto the site, so if you’re hoping to watch a few movies whilst you relax, remember to download them in advance 😅

An absolute favourite fabulous find for…
Non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked An absolute favourite fabulous find for our first camping trip in our Berlingo Micro camper!
Scarside Farm delivers the ultimate peaceful getaway. The beautifully mown, spacious pitches give you an incredible amount of space to breathe and soak in the beautiful countryside, farm views.
The toilet facilities are fantastic and wonderfully maintained, and the communication from the owners from start to finish was brilliant.
If you want to switch off, enjoy gorgeous dark skies, and experience the true beauty of the eastern fells, surrounding walks and cosy villages, this is the place to be. We cannot wait to book again!

Fantastic site, a real place to disconnect and enjoy nature
Non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked I think I’ve found my new favourite site!
Generously sized, well maintained pitches and friendly welcoming owners. No showers but I knew that when i booked and tbh I think adding them may take away from the charm of the place, the extremely clean toilet facilities are perfect and there’s something quite nice about the site being more simplistic.
The real star of the show though is the views, absolutely stunning and so peaceful, a true escape from it all, just exactly what I was looking for, time to disconnect, enjoy the outdoors and then come back to read a book outside with a cup of coffee, bliss 👌
Disliked the only thing i disliked is the fact that I didn’t discover this place earlier in the season and i’m not sure i can make it back before it closes mid sept 😢

From the manager: Hello Clare, we are so happy you loved your stay.
You've pretty much described everything we are trying to provide. A camping experience that's simple by design - in a place that's hard to beat. Sometimes less really can be more.
We look forward to seeing you again next summer.

Could have stayed forever!
Non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Stayed in our campervan, lovely mown out pitches which felt private as they were nice and spaced out. Amazing views all around and it was so peaceful. We stayed up watching shooting stars as the skies were so dark and clear. Could have stayed for days! Would recommend RSPB Badger hide experience only 10 minutes away too.
