What customers say
This campsite provides a peaceful getaway with spacious, well-kept sites and lovely natural views. Guests love the quiet, private atmosphere and the friendly owners. Facilities like clean restrooms are good. No showers, but that's clear and adds to the simple charm. Great for hikers and disconnecting, though cell service can be spotty. Many want to return.

Lovely location, views & owner, great pricing, great stay overall
Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Lovely location, having some nice clean toilets available was great! The little pitches are mown out so you just choose a spot and pitch up and there’s plenty of room between you and a neighbour so you’re not uncomfortably close to someone else. Gentleman owner came out and greeted each individual camper and had a little chat which was lovely. We didn’t use it but there is a washing up area which I’m sure is very useful to others. It is very quiet and peaceful, no traffic or public transport noise which was perfect for our one night stopover to break up a long trip home.
Disliked It’s nothing they can change but I had absolutely no signal coming through the village and onto the site, so if you’re hoping to watch a few movies whilst you relax, remember to download them in advance 😅

Liked An absolute favourite fabulous find for our first camping trip in our Berlingo Micro camper!
Scarside Farm delivers the ultimate peaceful getaway. The beautifully mown, spacious pitches give you an incredible amount of space to breathe and soak in the beautiful countryside, farm views.
The toilet facilities are fantastic and wonderfully maintained, and the communication from the owners from start to finish was brilliant.
If you want to switch off, enjoy gorgeous dark skies, and experience the true beauty of the eastern fells, surrounding walks and cosy villages, this is the place to be. We cannot wait to book again!
