Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked Pitches level and 16amp electricity is excellent
The site is spotlessly clean
The individual toilet / shower rooms are a fantastic set up
The views at the marina are great

Disliked The cafe limited opening hours could be an issue if you rely on eating out
Nearly £6 for 2 cans of Diet Coke is a bit much in my opinion.
Could get a bit boring if staying for more than a couple of nights

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked Lovely small quiet site. The toilet and shower block were amazing. Along with the washing up facilities. They looked new but were all kept extremely clean. Great setting with the marina just a minute walk away with long boats/canal boats. Good bar/restaurant although drinks were a tad expensive. The camping field was well attended and looked lovely.

Disliked Nothing really. Could do with a couple of electrical sockets in washrooms to plug in hair dryer or shaver. But not the end of the world.

Local attractions

Aqueduct Marina and Caravan Park's Cheshire location and easy access from the M6 means it's in a most handy spot to get to heaps of tourist attractions around this part of the north west and Chester. A popular option in the area is Oulton Park, the racing track in the little village of Budworth that bills itself as the prettiest track in all the land, or you could hike around the wilds of nearby Delamere Forest, or stick to lazy days and potter around small Cheshire villages like Tattenhall and Tarporley. Chester is also easily accessible from the caravan park and has heaps to see among its old streets and swish shops. Animal fans make their way to Chester Zoo on the outskirts of the city to see as many as possible of its 12,000+ animals and over 400 species; if nature is your animalish thing, also get along to the Blue Planet Aquarium and its 100 or so living displays including the biggest school of sharks in Europe. Green fingered? Clear the car boot and drive over to Bridgemere, one of the biggest garden centres in the world and with all things gardenlike as well as toys and clothes in its mammoth shopping centre.
