Visit the marina’s pergola, where there is a licensed café and bar with views across the water, plus picnic areas to help you unwind. Set on a 100-acre plot, guests can also watch the wildlife or take a walk on site or along the nearby towpath. There are also showers and 24-hour laundry facilities. For activities outside of the park, there are many shops, cafés and pubs in the market town of Nantwich, which is a 10-minute drive away. There’s also easy access to the M6 and the B5074 in Church Minshull. Families, couples, small groups and dogs are all welcome at the site.

Liked Stayed at the camp site for 1 night with my 2 young children. We have a good time. Good value for money. Very quiet camp site. Toilets and shower block clean. Although didn’t eat in cafe, it looked nice.

Disliked Not much for children but regardless had good time

Bell tent (deluxe, four person, premium)

Liked Bell tent was great, boat rental was really enjoyable. Great, friendly owners

Disliked more of a niggle, but wasn't impressed with the food, may have just made a bad selection and it was a wait/extremely busy. Poor wifi/phone signal at tent, for some types of trip I don't mind this, but would have been useful in this case for the short weekend trip

Non-electric grass motorhome pitch

Liked Camping field is very spacious and you just pitch in an area that takes your fancy. Very rural.

Disliked There is always 'that one family' that are loud, rude and have feral children. Just drive round and avoid them before you make your final choice of pitching area.

Bell tent (deluxe, four person)

Liked Bell tent was so lovely. The beds were so comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay.

Disliked There were not enough toilets especially in the morning considering how big the campsite was. It would be perfect if we had more toilets/shower. (There were more toilets inside the cafe building, but it’s a bit of walk, and it can get busy with people having food there. So more toilets inside the campsite or around the glamping area would be nice.)

My friends stayed in a bell tent that came with a power bank, but ours didn’t come with a power bank so we couldn’t put the fairy lights on.

Liked Lovely clean site lots of space on the camping field
Great showers and toilets
Lovely cafe and bar

Disliked The dishwashing area is raised up a step and I fell backwards, it needs a level ramp or making wider.

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked We visited the site in May with family and liked it that much we returned last weekend with friends due to its location and facilities.

Disliked The reason I haven’t given it 10 stars is because of the amount of dogs not being kept on leads and allowed to run loose.

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked Site was laid out nicely with good signs etc. Facilities great and very clean. Nice to have a cafe and a shop. Good dog walk area too.

Disliked Main problem we had was that there were quite a few dogs off lead. Campsites generally have a rule that dogs should be kept on leads. I'm sure it is the same with you too but didn't see any staff walking around to monitor. This caused us a few issues as our dog is reactive to dogs sneaking up on her off lead. It was a shame as otherwise a lovely weekend.

Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch (premium)

Liked Good location to view cabal boats, cafe on site, live music Saturday afternoon, toilet and shower facilities excellent.

Disliked Unable to secure roll out canopy due to hard surface below gravel on hard standing, no decent shop on site or in surrounding area, expensive for what is there.

Local attractions

Aqueduct Marina and Caravan Park's Cheshire location and easy access from the M6 means it's in a most handy spot to get to heaps of tourist attractions around this part of the north west and Chester. A popular option in the area is Oulton Park, the racing track in the little village of Budworth that bills itself as the prettiest track in all the land, or you could hike around the wilds of nearby Delamere Forest, or stick to lazy days and potter around small Cheshire villages like Tattenhall and Tarporley. Chester is also easily accessible from the caravan park and has heaps to see among its old streets and swish shops. Animal fans make their way to Chester Zoo on the outskirts of the city to see as many as possible of its 12,000+ animals and over 400 species; if nature is your animalish thing, also get along to the Blue Planet Aquarium and its 100 or so living displays including the biggest school of sharks in Europe. Green fingered? Clear the car boot and drive over to Bridgemere, one of the biggest garden centres in the world and with all things gardenlike as well as toys and clothes in its mammoth shopping centre.
