  • Well-maintained site with excellent facilities
  • A few miles from the Norfolk coast
  • Sixteen luxury bathrooms on site with individual showers and loos
Have you ever been to the Norfolk coast? Pine-ing to return or to see it for the first time? Come and stay at Pine Cones Caravan and Camping, near King's Lynn inland and Heacham and Hunstanton on the coastline – this is such a royally good region that King Charles and his cohorts have a pad at Sandringham just a mile away. If the king were camping, it's a fairly safe bet he would like the up to date and excellently kept amenities at Pine Cones too: 16 warm luxury bathrooms, all with their own shower, toilets, basin and storage racks; a roomy, indoors washing-up area with several sinks and plenty of drainer space; and a washing machine and dryer in a separate room to sort out the laundry. Once the essentials are sorted, send the kids off to the adventure playground to try out the treehouse, rope ladders and high level walkway, and settle down in the picnic area with coffee and eats… there's a coffee machine on site and the well-stocked shop sells a good selection of items including bread, milk, and fresh and frozen food. A selection of outdoor gym equipment is also available for the energetic holidaymaker. Off site, Pine Cones is about a mile from the nearest pub the Feathers, or trot off to award-winning the Coach and Horses. Both are in nearby Dersingham village, where there's also a supermarket, takeaway and coffee shop dishing up homemade cakes daily.

What customers say

This well-maintained site offers spacious, level pitches and a friendly atmosphere, with many guests praising the exceptional cleanliness and modern design of the individual bathroom facilities. Its location is ideal for exploring the Norfolk coast and local attractions. Staff are consistently described as helpful and welcoming. While most visitors had a positive experience, some noted potential road noise and a desire for more enclosed dog-walking areas. Overall, it's a highly recommended destination for a relaxing break.

Liked I was a lovely site.loved the walks with our 2 dogs lovely location

Disliked The site had a policy saying low noise at 9.15 and no noise after I think it was 10
But the start of our holiday for the first 3 nights out of our 6 we had children running around screaming after both the times,
There was noise most nights on our 5th night people where laughing gone 11.30+
The only ight it was quite was on our 6 night
We took our wi d breakers down on our 5th day with us having 3 dogs to give them a area.then we had children running around our caravan and car we had to tell them to go away.people took their dog into the toilet and the washing up area .we were told they were lt lowed in these areas.so people were not abiding by the rules.which is not right

Sandy Acres electric grass and sand pitch (small)

Liked Large pitches, facilities were great. Reception was easy

Disliked The onsite food, fish and chips was woeful I late realised the local chippy would have delivered instead of the Iceland special.
Couldn’t understand bar closing at 9pm with the football in full flight but wasn’t a problem.

From the manager: Thank you for your high scoring review, we are glad that you would consider us again in the future.
We can confirm that we have just recently changed our fish supplier, so hopefully will be of a higher quality and more enjoyable on your next visit.
Thanks

Pine Views fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch (comfort)

Liked Perfect location for visiting Sandringham and the Norfolk coast, with good size pitches. The covered picnic huts are a lovely touch too. We liked the individual shower and toilet facilities, never had an issue with not finding a vacant one. The site is near a large co-operative store which is walkable. We followed the map given to us in our welcome leaflet to walk to Sandringham, it is a lovely forest walk and it only takes about 25 minutes. We will be back…

Disliked The bar on site closes at 9pm

Pine Views fully-serviced hardstanding and grass pitch

Liked Clean and tidy site, small touches which made a real difference including large spotless shower/toilet block with music playing in each one, clothes hooks and a chair in each unit. Picnic table in each bay and some with covered heated areas. Some nice walks near by, great position for Sandringham and the local beaches. Friendly and helpful staff too.

Disliked We asked for a grass pitch, which must have been the smallest patch of grass on the site. Lovely dog walking on and off site. Not able to put our awning up on the gravel and no staff member onsite when we arrived at 5pm - not a reason not to use the site, but best to check
by phone in advance.

Sandy Acres electric grass and sand pitch (small)

Liked Brilliant campsite just off the main road. We were lucky that our pitch was over to the back of the site so we didn’t hear any of the traffic. The toilet and shower area was lovely and the bar area was great. It was very easy to self check in and nice to have the barriers.

Disliked Nothing

Pine Views fully-serviced hardstanding and grass pitch

Liked Location of the site for Sandringham Estate, Hunstanton and the Coast is great.
The hard standing pitches are good size with services and some have covered seated areas and some seats.
The site has 2 sets of toilet shower blocks.
The site has a bar/ restaurant with outside seating just check as Sunday closed.
Toilet units singular with all your services to you.

Disliked The site is not managed on Sundays self service.(But worked with clear instructions)
On our visits some campers very noisy, using fire pits and smoking the smell was not great!!!!
The site is a little untidy more than weather related this could do with improving as the weather is not going to get better.
Toilet blocks running out of consumables regularly.

Pine Views fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch (comfort)

Liked A very lovely well laid out site ,with very good facilities.
Some areas suffering from the very hot and dry weather some of the grass areas very bare and paths and play area just pure dust ,which is unfortunate for the owners.
It’s a little bit remote as got to travel by vehicle to get any where.

Disliked If light sleeper the continuous drone of traffic on the main road can be a pain ,also seems none stop emergency vehicles up and down the road.
I would like to see some road signs warning of the entrance to the site as it’s a busy road and people tend to be a bit close and trying to overtake.
The gardener did cut through my solar lights while cutting the hedges .🤔

Local attractions

Beaches, historic houses, museums and festivals, tiny villages, market towns and fab family days out are all easily accessible from Pine Cones Caravan and Camping – after a day at Sandringham, but of course, to wave at the king first... Within a couple of miles, the deer safaris, farming activities and walking trails of Snettisham Deer Park and the sights and smells of Norfolk Lavender are both good options for a day out; Snettisham has an RSPB reserve too for those itching to twitch. But as you're probably in west/north Norfolk for the beaches, head to Heacham, Holkham and Hunstanton first, the closest sands to Pine Cones, and then take a trip to Brancaster 11 miles away; the family-friendly and very scenic sands of Sheringham, Cromer and Mundsley are a little further along the coast. (Also, the final scenes of Shakespeare in Love were filmed at Holkham, and all the beaches in these parts are fairly filmworthy, so bring your camera.) Other excellent options for days out include village hopping and shopping among the scenic sights of Dersingham, Holt, Fakenham, Aylsham and Burnham Market to pick up some local produce, or going along to one of Norfolk's festivals or events: there's usually something going on throughout the year. Pine Cones is also on the edge the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – bring walking boots, crabbing nets and plenty of room for picnics.
