Non mi è piaciuto I booked a grass pitch for a tent. The pitch had a flat area. But this area had been top dressed with chippings that you would usually see being used to resurface roads! To say this ruined my stay is an understatement. Moving about in my tent was most uncomfortable on my knees. Trying to sleep equally uncomfortable. Other grass pitches were also top dressed in this way. Finally this site is next to a somewhat noisy road.

We do kindly ask guests that, if they are unhappy with their pitch for any reason, they come up to reception and let us know. We will always do our very best to help, whether that means finding an alternative pitch that you would prefer or looking at another solution to make your stay more comfortable. Regarding the road noise, this is something we are aware of. We have recently planted a further 100 conifers to help reduce the impact, although being conveniently located close to the bypass does mean that some road noise is unfortunately unavoidable.

Mi è piaciuto Water point near, easy to use electric hook up, good showers, nice looking bat(didn't use), like the different benches, shelters on each pitch. Great walks and information from reception.

Non mi è piaciuto Unfortunately, road noise, but only during the day, a little challenging getting across the bypass. Maybe a little more lighting around the shower block, I know there are signs saying use a torch, but it would help a little.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely bar and food on site, food was good quality and reasonably priced. Toilets and showers were clean and well maintained.
Well situated for Sandringham.

Mi è piaciuto Wow , what a place . Loved the set up with the covered seating areaand piped music in the toilet shower . The staff also were amazing. Thank you we had a lovely break.

Mi è piaciuto We had a lovely stay at Pinecones. The toilets were very clean and the cleaner was always friendly and welcoming. The pitches are spacious, well maintained, and having water and electric right by the pitch was really convenient.
It’s also in a great central location for visiting King’s Lynn, Sandringham and Hunstanton, with some lovely walks around the village too.
A peaceful, well-kept site in a really handy location. We would happily stay again

Non mi è piaciuto The road noise didn’t really bother us, although a few more lights along the path to the toilets in the evening would be helpful. This is only a suggestion rather than a complaint.
The only thing that left a slightly bitter taste was our arrival. My husband was towing our large caravan with his van, so together it was quite a long and difficult combination to manoeuvre. While I went to collect the envelope with our instructions from the box by reception, he stopped briefly on the drive to wait for me.
A lady approached him and told him that he needed to move because he was blocking the entrance. At the time there was no traffic, and there appeared to be plenty of space for other vehicles to get around, so we felt the manner in which this was handled was unnecessary. She did not introduce herself or explain her role, so my husband assumed she was either an employee or perhaps the owner.
When I later asked whether I needed to speak to her, I received a rather unfriendly response and was told quite abruptly that if we had two vehicles, one would have to be parked away from the pitch. We later saw the same lady several times walking her dog past our caravan and believe we also saw her in reception.
It was only a small part of an otherwise very pleasant stay, but unfortunately the interaction made our arrival feel less welcoming than it could have been. A friendly introduction and a little understanding while guests are trying to manoeuvre a large caravan would have made a big difference.

•Fantastic location for our primary reason for being in the area (Sandringham), very good communication from yourselves, site was nice and clean, the toilet / shower facilities were also spotless. The bar was a nice touch too...along with the picnic huts (though noisy)

Non mi è piaciuto • I imagine it will come as no surprise to you, as you really cannot miss it, but the road noise was to us, not what we have come to expect for a break away in our van. It was very off putting, even in the very early hours of the morn' it was busy and not conducive to a proper night's sleep, this was the main reason we left a night early as it was a bit too much for us I'm afraid

• The pitch felt some what compact to others we've pitched up on, we also enjoy a bit of privacy something we didn't feel we had on our pitch without us closing blinds etc', perhaps maybe allow the hedges to grow to maybe 5 foot or so....the services provided on the pitch though, were faultless

We’re sorry to hear that the road noise affected your stay and ultimately led to you leaving a night early. We completely understand that road noise isn’t for everyone. The majority of our guests actually enjoy being close to the road, particularly those towing larger caravans, as it makes the site very easy to access, but we appreciate that for some guests it can be more noticeable than they would like.
