Liked Extremely peaceful and beautiful setting. Toilets were spotless and there was plenty of room between each pitch for privacy. Great bar for food and drinks and the breakfast was fantastic. Primarily a fishery so a very peaceful place to camp

Lavender cabin

Liked The Lavender Cabin was beautiful and spacious enough for 2 people. The grounds and lakes were lovely and well maintained. Fishing was plentiful, we tried two different lakes whilst there and caught mixture of common Carp, Mirror Carp and Catfish. Will definitely be back.

Disliked WiFi wasn't working due to a fire of one of the electrical points in the grounds. Some of equipment in the cabin could do with being replaced as they weren't working great and not very clean.
The BBQ wasn't cleaned, I had to scrub it before it could be used. The gate to the cabin was buckled and difficult to shut.

Liked What a wonderful place ! We were asked which pitch we would like - then later we changed our minds. But that didn't matter to them, they just moved us to one more suitable and helped us - so kind.
The restaurant was busy but despite that we were well looked after, again nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious, freshly made to order and arrived all together despite there being 7 of us. When we left a tip the staff came to tell us we had overpaid - very impressed with their honesty.
The site was full and we expected noise but it was so peaceful.
Can't recommend highly enough, we will definitely be back 🥰

Liked Always an absolute pleasure to stay at Fendicks. A warm welcome every time and helpful, enthusiastic staff, happy to chat about the site, places to visit, events etc..
Very peaceful, well maintained site. Clean, warm facilities. Good food, a bar and various events on site. We love that the owners encourage wildlife, we saw many species of birds.

Maple camping pod

Liked Absolutely amazing loved it!!! The Maple Cabin we had was beautiful with more than enough space, clean and tidy ... loved the little kitchen area, the shower was amazing together with the double bed and sofa being beautifully comfy. The cabin is gated off with a lovely picnic area for morning coffee or a bbq. Surrounded by stunning lakes.

Local attractions

Head to High Lodge (half an hour’s drive) to kickstart your tour of Thetford Forest. There are all sorts of ways to become one with the forest, from hiring out a Segway, taking an archery lesson or finding your zen with forest yoga. Go Ape Thetford (half an hour) will require a little bravery and some acrobatic skills for its treetop courses and zipwires, but on the ground, there are three cycling trails and four footpaths to follow from High Lodge. If you’re looking to find some places where the kids are likely to be entertained, Banham Zoo (35 minutes) is one such place, as are Melsop Farm Park (35 minutes) and Church Farm Stow Bardolph (15 minutes), two farm parks with a variety of animals and farm-style activities. A day at the coast is also possible from this site… just pick your seafront of choice. Perhaps Hunstanton (55 minutes) and Cromer (an hour and 20 minutes) to the north, or Great Yarmouth (an hour and 10 minutes) to the east? Towards the coast is Bressingham Steam & Gardens (40 minutes), a nice choice to see working steam locomotives in the flesh.

Booking terms and conditions

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

If the reception is closed on arrival, please check in at the Hubbles Or Rondo's which just behind the office..
Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Changes cannot be made once you have booked.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.

General

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Quiet hours must be respected between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
Refunds within the indicated cancellation period are only possible if the site is able to relet your unit/pitch.
The fishing lakes are stocked with Cat, carp, tench,.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
This site does have a catch-and-return fishing policy in place.
You'll need an Environment Agency rod licence (you'll need to apply for this beforehand).

Hired accommodation

No naked flames are allowed inside the hired accommodation units.

Occupancy

No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.

Pitches

A cable measuring at least 20 metres is needed for the electric hook-ups.
You must follow the management directives when pitching your tent/unit and related equipment.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Firearms are not permitted.
Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.
Swimming in the lake is not allowed.
