Anglers and adventurers, get ready, because Fendicks Fishery is a stunning Norfolk site with five well-stocked fishing lakes and a mature woodland, just half an hour’s drive from Thetford Forest. Out there, there’s plenty of adventuring to be done, with High Lodge and its Go Ape centre as a good starting point. There's a well-balanced atmosphere at this site, as the team have worked hard over the years to manage and landscape the grounds so that there’s a good combination of nature and fishing. Anglers have access to five lakes with a variety of fish up for grabs, including catfish (weighing in at over 95 lbs), carp, tench, silverfish and more. With 32 acres of mature woodland surrounding the lake, peaceful and scenic are two words that accurately Fendicks Fishery. Plus, there’s a splendid set-up in terms of facilities, with a toilet and shower block that’s kept toasty by underfloor heating, a washing-up area, washing machines, information room, Elsan points and the reception area. All the grassy pitches have access to electric hook-up (how handy). When you’re not unwinding around the acres of space around this well-kept site or spending an afternoon fishing, you could take off onto the miles of paths around Thetford Forest or head further out onto the Norfolk coast, which will take you around an hour’s drive or just over.

Spacious, well-kept site with friendly staff. Great food at the cafe/bar & lots of fishing. Most loved it, but some noted minor shower pressure & noise issues. A small shop would be a plus.

Cabin (hot tub)

Liked The site is amazing with plenty of lakes to fish on, the restaurant provides amazing food whilst the adjacent bar is cosy and has TV’s to watch football on. The cabin itself was amazing, clean and comfortable with a hot tub that was already warming up when we arrived.

Liked Absolutely spotless throughout. All staff friendly and attentive. Food served at Hubbles delicious. Fantastic day spent in Rondo's. 100% recommend and will definitely be back again and again.

Liked Great stay again! We had a great pitch, it was super hot which was nice to have the shade of the tree for a few hours! Clean and tidy as usual it really is a lovely place to stay! Great day on the bank fishing! A great way to end our half term! Great customer service and friendly staff as usual! We will be back I’m sure, one of our favourite places to stay!

Liked Firt time at Fendicks and couldn't have had a better experience. Needed somewhere that my son and I could fish whilst the wife and daughter had somewhere clean, well kept to enjoy. Fendicks gave us everything.
Fellow Anglers were welcoming especially 2 who are regulars and left me some bait for the cats. Special mention for the chorizo I was given worked a treat. Staff friendly, funny and helpful. We ate at the restaurant and was great quality. Now you'll read about the showers and it's true at certain times water is poor, however, they are working on it with the water board amd we found a shower that was ok. We lived every minute and can't wait to come back

Local attractions

Head to High Lodge (half an hour’s drive) to kickstart your tour of Thetford Forest. There are all sorts of ways to become one with the forest, from hiring out a Segway, taking an archery lesson or finding your zen with forest yoga. Go Ape Thetford (half an hour) will require a little bravery and some acrobatic skills for its treetop courses and zipwires, but on the ground, there are three cycling trails and four footpaths to follow from High Lodge. If you’re looking to find some places where the kids are likely to be entertained, Banham Zoo (35 minutes) is one such place, as are Melsop Farm Park (35 minutes) and Church Farm Stow Bardolph (15 minutes), two farm parks with a variety of animals and farm-style activities. A day at the coast is also possible from this site… just pick your seafront of choice. Perhaps Hunstanton (55 minutes) and Cromer (an hour and 20 minutes) to the north, or Great Yarmouth (an hour and 10 minutes) to the east? Towards the coast is Bressingham Steam & Gardens (40 minutes), a nice choice to see working steam locomotives in the flesh.
