Beautiful evening
Beautiful witham river our pod and touring field are on the river bank
Hardstanding and grass pitches
New tour field upgrade is all finished and looking amazing - 19 hard-standing pitches

  • Scenic park on the river Witham, 10 minutes' drive from Tattershall
  • A 35-minute drive from Lincoln and 15 from Tattershall Farm Park
  • Playground, river fishing, waterside walks and pub-restaurant on site
What a splendid Lincolnshire location this is – with easy access to the pitches on tarmac roads, dog-friendly Riverview Caravan Park sits on the banks of the River Witham. You’re on holiday, so you’re justified in settling down by the water for lengthy periods with a book and/or picnic. Keep that view in sight by heading out for a waterside walk or launching your own paddleboard or kayak from the boat jetty too. Keen to go fishing? The site has a mile of fishing along the river, just 20 metres from the pitches – it’s good for tench, carp and bream. Keen to stay active? Lucky then that there’s a gym so you can fit in a good workout. Families can also amuse themselves at the playground and indoor pool (open during high season). If you are plane fans, RAF Conningsby and its World War II museum are 15 minutes’ drive away. Fighter jets and the occasional Lancaster fly overhead, so it can get a bit noisy (especially during the week), but regard it as your own personal air show and enjoy the sights. When it comes to food, the recently updated pub and restaurant has a beer garden overlooking the river. Every Friday night is happy hour between 5pm–7pm, and there are food offers on Saturday evenings as well as karaoke and bingo in the entertainment lounge. On Sundays, there’s a full carvery from 12pm until late. Local town Tattershall is less than 10 minutes away by car, and Lincoln city centre around 35 minutes.

What customers say

This well-priced site offers a friendly, welcoming atmosphere with a riverside location and views of RAF Coningsby. Pods are well-equipped and clean, and facilities, including the bar and toilets, are generally well-maintained and cleaned frequently. Guests appreciate the helpful staff, good value, and peaceful surroundings. While some minor maintenance issues and occasional noise from aircraft have been noted, the site is considered a great base for exploring and many visitors plan to return.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Had to go on static site but power kept going off but owner was very helpful

Disliked Powe get going off

From the manager: I am shocked by your review

Me and my team worked over and beyond
To help you when it was your camper with the fault
We plugged you in three hooks 15 amp normal
Caravan park
Changed the hook up cable and still nothing

Last resort we hooked you up on 36 amp domestic plug which worked out after a while you camper kept fusing the hole building

I think it was you charging your batteries of your set up was wrong
Problem with buying a camper from Europe not a UK built

Re your point about taking a hard standing with the caravan park it's because it's rained every day since new year and I sorry my godly powers can't stop the rain
Good job we have alternative hard standing

Camping pod

Liked Prices very reasonable. Location great. Camping pods are fab. Toaster, Kettle, fridge, microwave and bed. Just bring bedding and additional cooking appliances. Ninja air fryer didn't work as too powerful so just bought chips from the bar.

Disliked Shower block cold but we went in February. Some of the doors were missing handles. Easy fix.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked The manager was friendly and helpful, although we did not use it the pub on site looked like a good place.

Disliked Poor maintenance generally on site, open all year so you would expect everything to be in working order but it wasn’t. The pitches bizarrely are concrete pads parallel to the site road but back from the road across grass which was very marshy due to the rain so we ended up on a vacant static caravan pitch.

From the manager: Thank you so much for your review we take these very seriously and my amazing riverview team are
Highly motivated with the positive comments
Running riverview had been so challenging this winter as its been the wettest
I so sorry my godly powers could not stop the rain .!

How ever with a pitch fee of only £20 per night
We currently been voted 2nd best caravan and touring park in Lincolnshire out 380 other parks

But I feel with these challenging conditions and only such a small fee your rating of only 4 start when you only stayed here so you could have a hot shower
After learning you are nomadic and living in a converted transit van !!!!!
We doing an amazing job to remain open

And on a positive note thank goodness we are open when most caravans parks are closed during the winter months you can have a shower

Yes we open it's challenging but my team work so hard to keep us open so nomadic community and other campers have some were to stay

Its a shame you never came in to the tavern as the atmosphere and food are amazing
Please see the others review

But your 4 star rating totally unjust

Thank you

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Lovely people made you feel very welcome. Friendly staff in the pub. Steak is to die for. 😋 some off the pitches was flooded so was put on a pitch for a static caravan which was better, didn’t had to go on the muddy grass. Will hopefully return in the summer.

Disliked Weather but that couldn’t be helped just made the most off it. Had to remember the toilet roll but no drama.

I so sorry my godly powers can not stopp it raining
Its has rained every day since Christmas

Thank goodness we have some hardstanding
With in our caravan park

Opening our touring field though the winter months is very challahing but we do it but sometime I wander why when people like you give this type of review

Please advice please do not go camping in the winter. River view is the most amazing place
And yes the environment agency are doing river bank work .

I see on your pitch you book an electrical hook hard standing which you got

But what the heck are you connecting you want and water

My amazing team do a fantastic job in these condition and we very proud of the

But please you were paying £20 pounds a night

You never came in to our amazing bar or tried our steaks Argentinian £14.95
And with the pitch up rating we are second out of 380 other caravan parks in Lincolnshire

And in 2 years this is the only 1 out 10 we ever had
Please saying at the same week end as you have us 10.out of 10
Incredible it's people like you stop the caravan parks opening through the winter

Once again sorry my golly powers could mot stop it raining for you
Please don't come back

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Quiet peaceful site, very friendly owners and staff.
Others staying in the site (possibly seasonal owners) also very friendly and welcoming.

Disliked Nothing really to dislike for the total we paid for 4 nights.
Unfortunately we couldn't stay on the touring site as we booked for but that's understandable after the rain we had been having and the ground been boggy.
A few of the shower units were broken / missing cubical door, but didn't affect us as we had our bathroom In tourer.

Local attractions

Having viewed your own bit of the river, it’s likely that you’ll be enticed into getting out for a walk – especially when you learn that there are a couple of riverside pubs nearby. There’s more strolling to be done in Tattershall Lakes Country Park (five minutes’ drive), plus the chance of watery activity at Just Wake wakeboarding centre (10 minutes). Take off to Tattershall Castle (10 minutes’ drive) – a textbook version with a moat and 15th-century tower to potter around. Just outside town is Tattershall Farm Park (15 minutes), where egg collecting, sheep shearing and hanging out with hairy Highland cows are likely to meet with approval from youngsters (and probably their parents too…). A day out in Lincoln (35 minutes) must surely be on the list – it’s got a real slice of history, being home to one of the four original copies of the Magna Carta. You’ll feel like you’ve stepped back in time if you catch a film at Kinema in the Woods (15 minutes) too: the flicks have been running since 1922 and there’s still a resident organist to provide the tunes.
