Local attractions

The county of Lincolnshire has lots you to explore for visitors both young or old. Orchard Caravan Park's local town, Tattershall, is home to the National Trust managed Tattershall Castle with its moat and 15th-century tower.

If you are looking for something to do with the children or grandchildren, Tattershall Farm Park is close by, a family friendly attraction combining fun and farming. If you prefer a more laid-back pace there are some great places to fish nearby including the Moonlake Fisheries and if you enjoy a faster pace in the water, check out the cable wakeboarding at Just Wake.

Should you be in need of retail therapy, the local market towns of Boston, Horncastle, Sleaford and Spilsby are only a short drive away. The historic market town of Boston is home to the famous St Botolph's Church, known to the locals as the Boston Stump. You are able to climb the tower of the church for a small fee. Boston is also home to the country’s finest working windmill, the Maud Foster Mill. Why not visit the Kinema in the Woods at Woodhall Spa? It's like stepping back in time: this cinema has been running since 1922 and even has a resident organ player. The famous old city of Lincoln is only 35 minutes by car where you can explore Lincoln Cathedral and Lincoln Castle which currently holds one of the four original copies of Magna Carta. The castle was built in the 11th century, Lincolnshire Castle is also home to the Victorian prison. The castle's grounds are free to enter and explore on non-event days, making it an ideal location for a picnic.

The nearby Witham Valley Country Park offers great opportunities to enjoy walking, cycling and horse riding in the area surrounding the historic city of Lincoln.
