Beautiful evening
Beautiful witham river our pod and touring field are on the river bank
Hardstanding and grass pitches
New tour field upgrade is all finished and looking amazing - 19 hard-standing pitches

  • Scenic park on the river Witham, 10 minutes' drive from Tattershall
  • A 35-minute drive from Lincoln and 15 from Tattershall Farm Park
  • Playground, river fishing, waterside walks and pub-restaurant on site
What a splendid Lincolnshire location this is – with easy access to the pitches on tarmac roads, dog-friendly Riverview Caravan Park sits on the banks of the River Witham. You’re on holiday, so you’re justified in settling down by the water for lengthy periods with a book and/or picnic. Keep that view in sight by heading out for a waterside walk or launching your own paddleboard or kayak from the boat jetty too. Keen to go fishing? The site has a mile of fishing along the river, just 20 metres from the pitches – it’s good for tench, carp and bream. Keen to stay active? Lucky then that there’s a gym so you can fit in a good workout. Families can also amuse themselves at the playground and indoor pool (open during high season). If you are plane fans, RAF Conningsby and its World War II museum are 15 minutes’ drive away. Fighter jets and the occasional Lancaster fly overhead, so it can get a bit noisy (especially during the week), but regard it as your own personal air show and enjoy the sights. When it comes to food, the recently updated pub and restaurant has a beer garden overlooking the river. Every Friday night is happy hour between 5pm–7pm, and there are food offers on Saturday evenings as well as karaoke and bingo in the entertainment lounge. On Sundays, there’s a full carvery from 12pm until late. Local town Tattershall is less than 10 minutes away by car, and Lincoln city centre around 35 minutes.

What customers say

Riverside spot, friendly folk, great value. Peaceful vibe, pets welcome, near RAF Coningsby. Pods neat and stocked. Pool's chilly, loos need TLC, but it's getting better. Takeaways and happy hour a bonus.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Everything. Made the mistake of booking night before hottest day on planet and let me tell you that pool is to die for!
Within first minute of arriving the owner came and greeted us asking if all was ok and sent us to where we needed to be sited and explained all the was to know about the site. Really enjoyed our weekend and will 100% be coming back ideally sooner rather than later.
Just to add, also has the best site mascot who comes to greet everyone at night time and gets sneaky snacks from people as a reward

Disliked Nothing- Would have enjoyed a pint on a Sunday evening before leaving though.

Camping pod

Liked Location, views, pool, spacious enough pod

Disliked We are travelling with our dog, when booking campsites I am looking for a specific rule- all dogs to be kept on leads at all times. This campsite had it stated also. When we saw a dog running towards us I shouted for owner, couldn’t find one. Other lady who had a dog also went to the pod and shut the door, I locked my dog in the pod also as my dog doesn’t like other dogs approaching her.
I rung the phone specified in the booking and owner replied that’s it’s his dog, his campsite and his dog can do whatever he wants as he is friendly. I asked why then there is such rule for dogs to kept on leads at all times- owner asked us to leave next morning (which was our scheduled departure day anyway) I hung up the phone as understood how ridiculous whole situation is. Owner immediately rung me back and asked us to leave the campsite immediately and he will refund us the day and he then hung up the phone. We packed up and left in the next 10 mins. Staff member did come and get the dog and apologised for the situation.
I I would like to reiterate the point that the campsite and the pods are fine, especially for fishing enthusiasts, or walkers. we were planning to come back from time to time but due to an absolutely ridiculous owners behaviour we will avoid this campsite at all costs.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Site was in a beautiful location and not too big so a short walk to amenities. Happy hour great idea getting campers all together.

Disliked Very helpful on site but really difficult to get a return call prior to stay as left 3 messages. Shame no restaurant at the moment but takeaway service from local businesses good. Could have hired in a fish n chips van or similar for Saturday night. Toilets were tired no hand soap and needed some TLC.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Peaceful , small site. Close to River Witham
Friendly owner, nice bar area & lovely walk along the riverbank.
Disabled facilities available,
Dog friendly
Pool & gym onsite
Good base for visiting Skegness, Lincoln, Mablethorpe etc
Near Coningsby
Bring a canoe or paddleboard
(Visit Woodhall Spa & The Bluebell Pub)

Disliked No check in on arrival was odd
Shower/ toilet block needs attention. Floor as you step in is sunken, take care. Outside
Steps need washing down also
The washing up sink could do with shelter and is too close to the toilet waste area.

No food available on site due to staff issues & nearest shop is 2 miles away

Local attractions

Having viewed your own bit of the river, it’s likely that you’ll be enticed into getting out for a walk – especially when you learn that there are a couple of riverside pubs nearby. There’s more strolling to be done in Tattershall Lakes Country Park (five minutes’ drive), plus the chance of watery activity at Just Wake wakeboarding centre (10 minutes). Take off to Tattershall Castle (10 minutes’ drive) – a textbook version with a moat and 15th-century tower to potter around. Just outside town is Tattershall Farm Park (15 minutes), where egg collecting, sheep shearing and hanging out with hairy Highland cows are likely to meet with approval from youngsters (and probably their parents too…). A day out in Lincoln (35 minutes) must surely be on the list – it’s got a real slice of history, being home to one of the four original copies of the Magna Carta. You’ll feel like you’ve stepped back in time if you catch a film at Kinema in the Woods (15 minutes) too: the flicks have been running since 1922 and there’s still a resident organist to provide the tunes.
