Gostou Great environment, local conveniences, staff were really friendly and I would absolutely stay again despite the very minor dislikes.

Não gostou Showers were blocked. With tonnes of hair. Didn’t realise the pub only took cash for food- local cashpoints didn’t work.

Gostou Good size pitch and tarmac road. Very close to the river. And a quiet site.

Não gostou Rubbish bins over flowing, lots of maintenance required around the site.

Gostou Friendly site, staff were very welcoming and helpful on arrival and were responsive to requests for information and assistance.
Nice location - good for dog walks down the canal and some nice pubs and restaurants in neighbouring villages.
Cheap and cheerful site.

Não gostou It was a little disappointing that the food in the bar was cash only - it wouldn't have been an issue if we had known in advance, but we only found out when we ordered. As there is no cash point within walking distance and we couldn't drive due to having a couple of drinks whilst setting up, this meant we were unable to purchase an evening meal.
There was no soap in the toilet blocks the entire weekend we were there. At times there was no toilet roll either. Thankfully we had brought some with us but for people that hadn't, this would have been very inconvenient.

Não gostou Broken decking, outside furniture & door wouldn't lock.

Shower was broken
Toilets were dirty and no soap in handbasin
Site was very untidy
People in caravan nearby playing loud music, shouting & swearing.. and firing an air gun (not the best start to a relaxing weekend)

Gostou Quiet, peaceful location, in the middle of nowhere so take plenty of supplies to cover the amount of time you are spending there. If you like low flying Typhoon jets then great, they are just a few miles away at RAF Coningsby and they fly over the site Monday to Thursday, but not all day long. Nothing really for kids, however, Skegness is only 20 miles away.
has a nice indoor pool, also Bar/club house, Wifi only available in club and not on campsite .

Não gostou Dog owners, not all, just those who can't be bothered to clean up their mess, maybe if they stuck to the site rule of "Keep all dogs on a lead" then you may just notice that your dog is crapping all over the place. Wasps seem to be a problem down the far corner but not too bad.

Gostou The bar staff was lovely and welcoming

Não gostou Even know it was the school holidays and in the week, the pub on site does nothing for the children, we went in and ordered food we waited 2.5 hours for the food to come and when it came it was cold! The cook lady couldn’t apologise enough BUT when you have children waiting hungry and for that long really wasn’t good enough, also I really think more children’s entertainment in the day in the pub would be amazing, also the bins was always full to the brim and the toilets without toilet roll for the whole weekend. We arrived on Saturday and there was no hot water untill Monday afternoon which really isn’t good, that being said my children did enjoy it but would have enjoyed it lots more if there was more entertainment. My son as additional needs and likes to shower x2 a day so with the showers not running water this caused a lot of upset, the man that goes round fixing things was lovely and tried his best to sort the water tho

Gostou Really enjoyed our weekend here. Lovely campsite. Everyone was very friendly. Will definitely be coming again. Only downside we had was there was no hot water in the showers

I was just saying out bioler broke down on the Saturday night . Dave the plumber came out that evening (why dose these things happen over the week end )

We could not get the part untill Monday morning so we very sorry

The boiler was fixed and is running well on the Monday morning

Gostou Friendly staff and the clubhouse was good.

Não gostou No hot water in the toilet block. I spoke to a member of staff a few times and all he said was it’s out of my hands.
A lady who was on the next pitch to us said it’s an on going problem, she had no hot water in May.

Your totally correct about the water

Saturday evening we lost our hot water boiler ( why dose it always happen on the week end ) ! Our Plummer attended but unfortunately could not get the part untill Monday morning . And on Monday the boiler was fixed
