Riverview Caravan Park

Ik was blij met Perfect for our requirements. One night stay to watch the cycling so this site was in great location for us, very friendly staff. Very quiet site.

Ik was niet blij met It is under new management so a bit of work going on in the bar and pool area ready for the 2027 season but it will be lovely once completed. A bit if a remote location if wanting to leave the site you def need a bike or car to get anywhere.

Ik was blij met Brilliant pod. Comfortable and warm. Nice to have the kettle and toaster. Handy as we forgot the gas for our stove. Great atmosphere in the club with the regulars and drinks reasonably priced.

Ik was niet blij met The toilets need attention. Only one working in womens in club and that was leaking. Shower block needs attention

Ik was niet blij met The new manager took over approx 4 weeks ago we were told on arrival and he apologised for some of the amenities not being up to his standards and assured us he is in the process of making big changes
There was only 2 showers in ladies one was out of order they were very tired and old looking ,they were as clean as old toilets could be in my opinion but in need of updating
I didn’t use the showers but boys did they said one cubicle door didn’t lock and it was cold (we were told the next day the boiler wasn’t working)
so the boys resorted to showers in van which they never do.
We were told they had to close the disabled bathroom as the floor was unsafe .
Another problem was the dishwashing sink was right next to the elsan point
It was really high and hard to lift gray waste containers up as there wasn't anywhere else to empty them !
Plus bit unhygienic in my opinion
There was one water point behind someone’s pitch (felt sorry for them on that pitch) I was please to see there is a hose on it .
We were told they have big plans to address this point along with all the other points
I booked it thinking we could use the swimming pool and gym but they were shut .Again told big plans but had to shut due to health safety reasons.
On Facebook I had read the pool had shut for cleaning but how it read suggested it was short term like that day ! Not for weeks
I was very disappointed overall
If all the things were addressed it could be a nice little site as the club house and buns on the run takeaway / cafe are a bonus .We did order chips one night which were good .But I couldn’t warrant spending my money in the clubhouse when basic facilities were not adequate .For the same price we got 3 days half hour down the road with great amenities and a nice clubhouse and Restaurant
No pitch WiFi and told clubhouse WiFi had a problem too

Ik was blij met Nice site.will be a good site when new managers have had time to upgrade and repair the site which old manager neglected to do. Onsite pub was a plus. Good served late afternoons and evening. Entertainment was provided

Ik was blij met Closeness to airbase.
Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Ik was niet blij met Everywhere dirty or needs repair. No hot water in showers, not all facilities working. Noisy campers on 2nd night, arguing with staff and disrespectful.
So much potential if a major refurb was given. Stayed 3 years ago, was lovely then, big letdown this time.

Ik was blij met Location, facilities and the food from Buns on the Run was excellent.

Ik was niet blij met Little worn in places but going through a transition, be great to see it next year.

Ik was blij met Stopped here for 1 night.
Fishing was great as the pods are located right at the a side of the river witham.
Has great amenities on site from the tavern, swimming pool, gym.
Serves food in the tavern in the evenings too. This was delicious.
The site has also been taken over by another company,

We enjoyed our first stay so much we returned 3 weeks later. The pool is a great addition and we spent hours In it at a time. We made full use of it and was happy to find the pool table on our second stay. We enjoyed plenty of time walking up the lake and really is a nice place just to relax for a few days.

Ik was niet blij met No information about times for activities that are on so we missed them both stays, also no information on restraunt opening times.

Ik was blij met Very friendly welcoming people, Club house was very enjoyable, karaoke was fantastic. Everyone on site & residents especially the super friendly cleaning lady and her daughter made my disabled son so welcome, everyone singing with him, stopping to chat with him etc... David loved it there and it was nice for him to be able to go about on his own in his wheelchair and we knew he was safe. Thankyou everyone so much, we will definitely be back soon xxx
