Beautiful evening
Beautiful witham river our pod and touring field are on the river bank

New tour field upgrade is all finished and looking amazing - 19 hard-standing pitches

  • Scenic park on the river Witham, 10 minutes' drive from Tattershall
  • A 35-minute drive from Lincoln and 15 from Tattershall Farm Park
  • Playground, river fishing, waterside walks and pub-restaurant on site
What a lovely Lincolnshire location this is – dog-friendly Riverview Caravan Park’s location on the banks of the Witham river is a mighty scenic place to spend a bit of time… You’re on holiday, so you’d be quite justified in deciding to settle down right there by the river for lengthy periods in the company of a book and/or picnic. Keep that view in sight by heading out for a waterside walk or launching your own paddleboard or kayak from the boat jetty too. Keen to go fishing? The site has one mile of fishing along the river Witham, all set just 20 metres from the pitches. The on-site fishing is known for tench, carp and big bream weighing up to seven kilograms, as well as its fortnightly competitions. A modern gym is on-hand for those times when you feel like fitting in a good workout. For families, there’s a playground as well as an indoor pool (open during high season only) where they can play about whatever the weather. If they (or you) are plane fans, they may like to know that RAF Conningsby is a short distance away with a World War II museum. Fighter jets and the occasional Lancaster fly overhead, so it can get a bit noisy (especially during the week) but settle down for your own personal air show and enjoy the sights. When it comes to food, the on-site pub and restaurant is likely to be your go-to. Serving up homecooked food, it has a beer garden overlooking the river along with local entertainment such as singers, bingo and karaoke. On Saturdays and Sundays, it serves a full English breakfast, and on Sundays, there is a Sunday roast up for grabs. It also has a kids' menu. For out-and-about times, local town Tattershall is less than 10 minutes away by car and Lincoln city centre around 35 minutes.

What customers say

Praise for friendly staff, great value, and scenic riverside setting, perfect for aviation buffs and dog walkers. Guests love the clean facilities and cozy pods, though the pool is noted as chilly. Minor points on hot water, Wi-Fi, and loo roll are being addressed.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked Very enjoyable 3 night stay at this well laid out touring site which had a very clean toilet block with spacious showers and plenty of hot water, the on site pub was reasonably priced for both beer and food with friendly and welcoming staff making it a site i will visit again.

Disliked This is no fault of the site but the river was un fishable due to the green weed covering it, hopefully it will be clear for some pike fishing later in the year.

Camping pod

Liked Friendly staff and site.

Disliked Toilet block did run out of toilet rolls over the weekend when the site was full. The washing up sink right next the the mobile toilet emptying area so not very hygenic. Grass cut but clippings not collected so ended up on the floor of the pod.

From the manager: Thanks you so much for your review we take them very seriously

You and your party of ten stayed with us for a week
i made it my personal point to come a visit you every day maje sure your stay was enjoyable
We even gave you a party on Friday night
We're you had a fantastic night with our happy hour Buy one get one free then an amazing steak dinner for only 12.95 ppl please see our amazing other reviews from the same evening

And why you did not brings these points up to me before

Yes the electric was a problem but I did explain one of your party was using a domestic heaters two of them in your communal aurning. . And of course being a camp site with 15 wats using 2 heats at 36 wats each is going to trip the hole site
But you choose to ignore this and the problem persisted.

You did bring it up about the water stand pipes
So I then showed you two which were 30 meters away from your caravan
And no to use the gardeners water tap 70 meter away
Sorry about half of the ladies shower door
It's been problematic

And lastly the toilet paper police 4 time there was none Monday what about the rest of the week for this we are very sorry and it stopped you enjoying the previous 6 days !

This job realy get me some times we looked after you so well and made your stay so enjoyable we can tell this buy the smile happy faces on the rest of your party
So you understand the damage this review to my amazing team who have worked so hard. To get riverview to be one of the best touring field in Lincolnshire

Local attractions

Having viewed your own bit of the river, it’s likely that you’ll be enticed into getting out for a walk – especially when you learn that there are a couple of riverside pubs nearby. There’s more strolling to be done in Tattershall Lakes Country Park (five minutes’ drive), plus the chance to get a bit of watery activity at Just Wake wakeboarding centre. Take off to Tattershall (around 10 minutes’ drive) for a wander around Tattershall Castle – a proper textbook castle with a moat and 15th-century tower to potter around. Just outside town is Tattershall Farm Park (15 minutes), where egg collecting, sheep shearing and hanging out with hairy Highland cows are likely to meet with approval from tiddlers (and quite probably their elders too…). A day out in Lincoln (35 minutes) must surely be on the list – it’s got a real slice of history, being home to one of the four original copies of the Magna Carta. You’ll likely feel like you’ve stepped back in time if you catch a film at Kinema in the Woods (15 minutes) too: the flicks have been running since 1922 here, and there’s still a resident organist to provide the tunes.
