Liked Clean, quiet, spacious pitches. Had good links for cycling and visiting Derbyshire.

Disliked Maybe a clubhouse, with a bar and games in the evening with a bit of background music. The showers were stone cold on our last morning, couldn’t actually get under it. The WiFi was unusable, unable to connect to it at anytime.

Disliked The lavatories were not clean, both on a late afternoon and in the morning after.

Liked Very nice holiday park. Good facilities. Tidy and well maintained.

Disliked Nothing really. Just a shame they haven’t got a better wi-fi setup as the mobile signal in this area is almost nonexistent.

Liked Nicely laid out site, clean and tidy. Great for families with play park, swimming pool safe cycling for younger children.
Toilets clean and well maintained.
Handy for the Tissington trail.

Disliked Not much to dislike.
If levelling is an issue for you then the hard standing would be best.

Liked Lovely well kept site. In great location for various trails and also not far from Bakewell etc. great park for the kids and swimming pool. Shame we only stayed for a few days.

Disliked A minor but hard standing pitches could do with being levelled a bit as on a slope. please get some WiFi installed for tourers as phone signal is non existent.

Camping pod (ensuite)

Liked The location was great, very close to a lovely walking trail and only about an hour’s walk from Ashbourne. The site was very quiet and peaceful, and the little swimming pool was a nice bonus.

Disliked There were a few things we were disappointed with. The bed wasn't particularly comfortable, and the outside light by our pod didn't work. We reported it, but unfortunately it wasn't repaired during our stay. Also no mini fridge which will be a plus.
WiFi is not free

Liked Area was very good to visit the likes of Bakewell/Matlock Bath

Disliked We came with our touring caravan 3 years ago and everything about the place was spot on. We even had our own en-suite at the back of the van with our own washing up sink. This area is now for pods only. We had to use the communal showers and toilets and the outside washing up sink. Unfortunately the cleanliness was not very good, toilets cleaned daily however the shower I used each day had a leaf on the floor of the shower nearly the whole time I used it. To use the shower there was only a three pronged hook to hang everything on. No area to put your shower gel and hair shampoo and conditioner apart from a very small window sill which you needed to turn the bottles almost sideways so they didn’t drop on the floor.
