Sinton Green, Worcestershire, England
Electric grass pitch
Liked Quiet site with flat pitches. Walks straight from camp into the local villages and the conservation woodland. Although, no clear paths (some blocked illegaly) if you want to walk to the river Severn.
The 'Open Ditch' is a lovely little pub with friendly locals.
Disliked There was an info kiosk, but no details on how to find correct paths.
Although WiFi was advertised it didn't work.

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Plenty of walks straight from the site. The owners are very friendly and never forget a face.
Nice cafe and bar on site.
Plenty of wildlife in the forests all around: deer and wild boar. One evening we saw a sow and her piglets not far from the campsite.
Some parts of the forest have grazing cattle, but they are Geo Fenced and you can track them on a website (info on cattle gate)
The internet reception is better than at home!
Disliked Some road noise, but that is to be expected if you want easy access to a campsite. Mostly quiet at night.

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Easy access to forest walks and the Wye River. Good for an evening or lunchtime walk to the pubs at Symonds Yat.
Lots of space to pitch a tent. There is a slope, but it's useable.
Best to go mid week for choice pitches.
Disliked Weekend campers and screechy kids. Owners are good at keeping order though, which is comforting when you're a solo camper, as there is no phone or Internet signal.

From the manager: Hi Adele A few times a year the wind direction changes and we get a southerly wind. That is the only time you can hear the motorway which isn't very close. It appears you were here on one of those days which is a shame. It is usually very quiet. Hopefully you will visit us again and you will have a very peaceful night. Kathrin
