Electric optional grass touring pitch
Liked Great place and lovely views of the lake. Good dog walking too. Very friendly. Shame we couldn’t stay longer. Clean toilet blocks.
Disliked Windows were open in shower and toilet block. This unfortunately let mosquitoes in and put me off showering!

Disliked Unfortunately none of the amenities offered in the write up on this campsite was open, other than 4 showers and a couple of toilets which were up a hill.
I understand that it is not the height of summer, however, having to pay the same when nothing was open is not fair. Other campsites the same price offered a lot more. 30 second showers really annoyed me too.
Was not impressed.

Liked Big field, plenty of space for everyone. Good walks all around. Pub and cricket green literally outside of the farm. Plus a lovely park for children.
Very quiet both night and days.
Disliked Toilet and shower facilities weren’t great. Needed to be cleaned more often, especially the gents toilets.

From the manager: Thanks for letting me know, I'm sorry to hear things disappointed you, the loos are cleaned regularly but with such a large grass camping field obviously some of that gets walked into the facilities. I hope you find what you are looking for. Kind regards, Jon

Liked Facilities for showering, dog walks, clean areas. Shop was useful
Disliked The fact that both bar and restaurant were closed. If sites are open until end of October, then facilities should be open. Too cold I realise for the pool… Or they should reduce the price of staying there!

From the manager: Thanks for the comment and rating. What it suggests to us is something that we consider how to improve. Anyway, thank you for your visit.

Electric optional gravel touring pitch
Liked Very friendly and very helpful English couple. Got stuck in the mud trying to get on the pitch so had to be towed off by tractor.
Nice to have a bar, and for it to be open, as so many places we had stopped at had been closed.
Clean shower and toilets.
Disliked Very expensive washing machine and drier.

Liked Everything! Friendly staff, pitch size, showers and toilets kept clean. Dog walking area was great too. The shop was useful too especially as they sold alcohol (great local cider was particularly good).
Farm shop and cafe only yards away which was very useful for bbq etc.
super walks from site along country lanes and plenty of things to do in the area too.
Weather was excellent, which also helped.
Would definitely recommend and would go back again. Very reasonable priced too.

Fully-serviced grass and sand pitch
Liked Small intimate site. Lovely and warm toilets and shower block especially as we had snow on the ground.
Helen , who was very apologetic about the Anglian water board having an issue with freezing pipes, two days in a row! Offered us our money back but obviously didn’t take it as it wasn’t her fault.
Nearness to Sutton Hoo NT literally 2 mins walk from the site.
Would definitely come back.
Disliked Nothing .

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Absolutely everything . Teresa and her husband have worked very hard to make this campsite so lovely. Keeping everything clean and even providing fresh bath mats for everyone to use. Facilities included a freezer, electrical points, a washing up area and use of their utility room when bathrooms and shower were busy to use too.
You could choose where you wanted to pitch in four fields.. logs were provided in the evening. Plenty of places to walk the dog and views to die for overlooking the Brecon Beacon mountains. Absolutely stunning, both night and day.
Disliked Nothing - except having to go home.

Liked Clean and new site. Quietness and dog walking area.
Disliked Laundry facilities were advertised on site but they haven’t been built /finished yet. This is misleading and against the law. It was a very expensive site and was chosen because of the facilities. Owner should either reduce price until all facilities are up and running or take it off the website.

Liked Space as we had no one next to us. Level pitch
Disliked Toilet paper was not replenished enough. We were only there for one night and two of the ladies toilets didn’t have any either when we arrived and when we left early the following morning.

From the manager: Oh dear. It would appear that the secondary toilet roll had not been released from the top of the tail;et roll holder. There is a little bar just inside that can be pulled forward so that the 2nd roll drops down. We glad that you enjoyed the space though.
