Dronwy Caravan Park: Partial view of site

General

  • Modern adults-only caravan park on a 100-acre Isle of Anglesey farm
  • A mile from Llanfachraeth; 15 minutes' drive from Holyhead
  • Laundry room, electric vehicle charging and dog-walking area

Whether you're looking to tour the high hills of North Wales or want a simple island escape on Anglesey, look to Dronwy Caravan Park for a relaxed place to pitch up in a scenic rural setting. This 100-acre farm has a modern and stylish selection of pitches for tourers on the island's west coast, a mile from the small village of Llanfachraeth and a quarter of an hour's drive from Holyhead.

This place is reassuringly civilised for somewhere so secluded – all pitches have access to handy features like a laundry room, a dog-walking area and chemical disposal points. Guests looking to minimise their impact on the environment can also charge electric vehicles at Dronwy Caravan Park before heading off for emission-free tours of Anglesey, Snowdonia and beyond.

Down in Llanfachraeth there's a convenience store for last-minute provisions and a pub, while over in the larger village of Valley (five minutes' drive) there's a railway station, small supermarket and takeaways.

Carrying on your adventures on the other side of the Irish Sea? Dronwy Caravan Park is in a convenient location for hopping on the ferry at Holyhead (15 minutes).

Extremely clean, well laid out, very quiet and very dog friendly.
The best and cleanest toilet and shower block I have ever seen, still new but as long as the visitors treat them with respect there is no reason they can't stay like that, The owner has invested a lot of time and money to make this place a pleasure to stay so do your bit.
No kids allowed, noisy or not.

    Disliked:

Every time I drove up the driveway there was a bird sitting on the fence and it looked at me menacingly.

Ok. For campsites we are uber fussy . This place is PERFECT. The hosts are friendly but not in your face, just genuinely nice decent people. There is so much to say. The site is quiet, tidy, and the toilet blocks are immaculate and new. Rainfall showers, a real home from home. Massive generous pitches. A washup sink which is covered and spacious. Gorgeous walks. We had some big life decisions to make, and have pondered for weeks but just sitting at this place relaxing has helped us find all the answers. Its like being transported to paradise. In fact I would happily live here from April til October. Worth every penny. A big well done to the owners and the gorgeous dog
