Petersfield, Hampshire, England
Meadow non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch (no groups)
Liked Stayed for a race event, easy to come and go from site and can park next to pitch.
Start of school holidays so busy and lots of kids but families followed the 9pm cut off so it was quiet in the evenings but it did mean there were queues for toilets/showers at key times.
Showers hot and kept clean, regular check ups done by staff.
Disliked Minor point - site is quite sloped and winds do whip across even in hot weather so need to plan kit accordingly.

Driffield, East Yorkshire, England
Non-electric grass tent pitch (no cars, no pets, solo)
Liked Gorgeous views, lovely spacious site, nice hot showers, friendly greeting from staff.
Perfect restful stop on a backpacking trip.
Would have been outstanding if the path into the back of the site has shown up on my map as it would have saved a good couple of kms pounding tarmac.
If hiking in, do make contact before to get the footpath info as it shows as completely impassable on both paper and online mapping.

Wells-next-the-Sea, Norfolk, England
Silkie non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Very pretty setting
Lots of picnic tables
Level ground and choice to pitch anywhere.
Disliked Composting toilet was the complicated kind (split fluids and solids) and no one was using it correctly (putting sawdust in fluid pipe) meaning both were blocked to almost overflowing by the morning.

Bakewell, Derbyshire, England
Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Lots of pitch choice with 2 large fields for regular campers.
Good, clean facilities (remember to bring your £1 coins for the showers).
Felt very safe as a lone female and also out all day hiking, everything safe and sound on return.
First night it was possible to do a lot of birdwatching and recording.
Disliked 2nd night spoilt by behaviour of large arriving party of friends who viewed it as their personal setting, encouraging their dog to run off-leash through other pitches, cutting across pitches to access facilities etc.
Might be helpful to have a designated field/section for multi-pitch groups of adults (similar to the way DoE area is separated)?

Fochabers, Moray, Scotland
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Fabulous location to listen to the waves throughout the night - best sleep I have had in a long time!
Have recommended to all my walking friends (and those who love dolphins!)
Great instructions on where to pitch.
Warm showers and nice clean facilities.
Fire pit with wood and a bbq were set up and available (although I just used my little trangia inside the brick enclosure).
Disliked Lights went out while I was in the shower - had to open the shower and wave arms to reactivate which soaked the floor a bit - sorry.
Not clear where to do washing up or which was drinking water (ended up boiling everything just to be safe and then refilling water bladder in the morning from the bar when it opened.

Burghead, Moray, Scotland
Electric grass pitch
Liked Nice hot clean showers
Well maintained facilities
Located on the trail I was hiking.
Disliked Tricky to find higher number pitches in the storm as only 1-11 are located near the facilities and this was too much of a challenge after a long day hiking.
