Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Just had a fantastic stay here. The campsite was spotless, peaceful, and really well looked after, but what made it especially special were the owners. As a bikepacker booking at the last minute, I really appreciated how accommodating they were. They were genuinely friendly, welcoming, and couldn't do enough to help.

Great site, we would visit again
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Fantastic location, accessible to many key destinations. We liked the games room and playground. Site management was good. Everything we needed on site.
Disliked The site postcode on pitchup is incorrect. The on site signage could be clearer but we figured it out. Some other campers ignored the noise curfew, which combined with the train track noise starting at 5:30am made for as tiring couple of days.

Wouldn’t stay again unless 100% guarantee that water issues resolved
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked We had a lovely long weekend here, the site is lovely, great location, plenty of space in fields and friendly owners, very clean toilets and showers. Near the train track and road but this did not affect our sleep.
Disliked Low water pressure and no hot water. Each time we used the dish washing area and brains in toilets, there was no hot water and pressure often low. The first morning there was no water in the main block showers. Was advised to use the wet room electric one but it was freezing cold. On the following 2 days, there was water in all showers but freezing cold.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Large pitches, easy access to beautiful walks, few pubs nearby. The grounds are well-maintained and it's clear a lot of care goes into keeping the site in great shape. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, making us feel very welcome. Excellent value for money too.
