Great site. Would recommend and will likely revisit this summer.
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Really lovely space, well-maintained and great facilities.
Disliked There is a rail track that runs next to the site, but the trains do stop running in the night so it's not a huge issue.

Lovely site, good location and friendly staff
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Lovely setting, park and games room are good for the kids. Family run and very helpful. Good location. Facilities are new and clean but a bit small, it wasn’t too busy when we were there but only 2 toilets and 2 showers in the men’s area could get busy.
Disliked Nothing to dislike, as mentioned facilities are on the small side but it’s a lovely campsite.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked I had such a great stay at this campsite and would definitely come back again. The pitches were really spacious and spotless, which made settling in feel easy and comfortable right away. Everything was clearly well looked after, and the whole site had a calm, organised feel.
The shower and toilet block were impressively clean, which always makes a big difference when camping. A really nice bonus was the hairdryer — not something you always expect on a campsite, but definitely appreciated. It made getting ready that bit easier.
There’s also a games room, which added a fun, relaxed touch to the stay. I also loved the little extras like the fridge freezer and kettle — small things that made a big difference in terms of convenience. The option to hire a fire bin was another highlight, perfect for cosy evenings under the stars.
The owner was genuinely friendly and helpful, taking the time to recommend a nearby trail that led to a beautiful waterfall — we even had a dip, which made the whole trip feel extra special.
Overall, it’s a well-run, welcoming campsite with great facilities and a lovely atmosphere. I genuinely can’t wait to come back in May and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable camping experience

Excellent site with clean facilities, friendly owners & level pitches.
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Spacious pitches with plenty of space and things for kids to play and keep them entertained. Great walking trails local to the site, Andy was very knowledgeable about the area and recommended places to walk and explore. I loved how lovely and welcoming from the owners (Andy and Gill) were. Office times were convenient and they are always on hand should you need anything from directions to fire pits. We will most definitely be back!!
Disliked Pitches near the train tracks can be noisy, but owners make this known from the start and tell you where is best to pitch.

Our new favorite go to Peak District Campsite
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked This is a lovely site with incredible hosts and very clean user friendly facilities. We really enjoyed the added bonus of the games room, and being able to hire a fire bit when ours broke.
The location of this campsite is brilliant in many ways for local hikes, central for any Peak District activities and walking distance from 2 pubs.
Disliked I don’t think that this dislike should put anyone off from using this site, however the only dislike we had was the road and train track noise. It is not something anyone can control but can be a-bit of an annoyance at the beginning.
