Liked Spacious pitches, absolutely loved the hedging and the site is immaculate! The arrival instructions and pre-info were great. What we paid was great too, we used it as a base to explore St Ives. We booked really late and our booking was accommodated easily.

Disliked Only comment i have is that the shower/toilet block was absolutely freezing. My 7 year old was shivering in the shower and to be fair i wasn't much warmer either. The door seems to always be open, I did shut it but then someone opened it back up again. Also the lights at night were minimal, none of them were on when we were walking to the toilet block.

Liked We had a great time in the camping pods. We took a two night break from staying in our campervan. Price was really reasonable and as cheap as having an electric pitch for our camper.

Disliked The showers were a little far from our pods and the shower itself wasn't 100%.

Liked We were happy with our pitch, was lovely and quiet. We stayed over on our way to Cornwall as we couldn't do it all in one trip. Washroom facilities were fantastic. We were abit strapped for time so couldn't explore the sight fully but looked great and just what we were after. Owner who checked us in was really friendly, also the caretaker chap was lovely too. We had a great stay and would definitely stay again!

Liked Stayed for one night on our way home back to England. Great hedged pitch which was private. Good communication from the campsite owners. We had a problem with the electric on our pitch so we were moved promptly which was great. On site bar is reasonable and little play area is good. Camping pitches are separate from the permanent stays. The owners had an adorable dog! 🐕

Disliked Only two toilets were open (no seats and no toilet paper). Could do with soap in the toilets. Shower facilities abit tired.

Liked Location is good, near to Alpsee. Shower facilities are good. Local passes given are helpful as you have free travel via bus and train in the surrounding area. Games room is good. The campsite house in general is well equipped. The lady we checked out with on the last day was very nice. The jam we got given on arrival was a very nice touch.

Disliked Where do I start - first of all I booked a touring pitch - we got given a very tiny bit of gravel, very close to people either side. Of course this upset them very much, the people next to us complained about how close we were and received a 50% refund of their stay and a meal in the restaurant. The other person next to us gave us "looks" for our 3 night stay. I asked about moving pitch to be told there was no room. A motorhome turned up unannounced just before us and secured a very nice little hedged pitch and had a lovely time, but we were told we couldn't move. Another camper was booked into the same space the following day and then it was free - if they wanted to help, they would have done. As we travelled with a Tentbox, we were told we didn't need the space. This is irrelevant as it wasn't what I booked and I paid €170 for 3 nights. The caretaker man wasn't very friendly, on our last night he told us to make sure we moved in the morning to let the neighbouring caravan out! We had an electric hookup to use but as we were put in abit of car park, ours wouldn't reach the box, so he lent us one and was very cross about doing this, also suggested we pay for the privilege. None of the pitches are outlined, people are just crammed in everywhere. Wifi not working for the duration of our stay - didn't affect us much but besides the point.

From the manager: First of all, we would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused. Due to a new reservation system, we unfortunately had an overbooking at our campsite on a few days, which meant that we were unable to allocate you a complete pitch. This was an isolated incident. However, unfortunately, a lot more went wrong for you... You were not allocated a pitch as agreed with the employee and apparently you did not receive the invitation to dinner. One component of our Wi-Fi system failed and all attempts to maintain service using temporary solutions (until the component arrived) were unfortunately unsuccessful. Our IT partner visited the campsite three times to resolve the issue. However, it is not correct that we would have been able to assign you another spot if we had wanted to. I have to disagree with you there. There was one spot available for one night, that is true, but we had a booking for a motorhome that could not be accommodated anywhere else. They had a reservation (which, incidentally, was made before yours). I really tried to find another solution (which usually works), but the weekend was very inconvenient for that. We would never risk having an unhappy guest if there was any other solution. However, you did receive a reduction on the pitch price, as did your neighbor. They did not receive a 50% discount on everything, but a reduction on the pitch fee. This is also shown on your invoice (category S instead of M). However, this may not have been communicated to you clearly. We are very sorry about the whole situation. We would be delighted if you would give us another chance. Please feel free to write to me and we will give you another special price. In addition, we will refund you at least the value of the dinner you did not use!

Liked The washing facilities are really good. The pool area is nice. Would recommend a visit to Unterbach to the Seepark and the suspension bridge - not far to get to.

Disliked The pitches are not clearly defined so it becomes a free for all and fighting for space. The campsite isn't manned so there wouldn't be anything stopping you or others just driving on and pitching up. The wash facilities are really nice, however there are only six showers on the whole site (which is huge). We naively didn't realise that we'd need to get the car transporter train to get to the Interlaken and Grindelwald area, it is very expensive to keep going there and back, so we ended up exploring the local area instead.

Liked The onsite park, the bathrooms and the owners are great. The local nature lake is beautiful and you get free access to this.

Disliked I disliked that the pitches were not defined and were very unorganised, people were camping very close to us. The permanent pitches could do with being at the back of the campsite as I can imagine they get infuriated with the amount of foot traffic coming past, also it's quite a long walk to the washrooms from the back.

Liked Good location. Toilet block and showers were ok, could do with some modernising. Had a bus from the campsite which ran every 2 hours to the train station, so we went into the centre of Luxembourg with no issues. Good park for small children, friendly staff. Didn't use the restaurant so cannot comment on that :)

Disliked No wifi but mobile signal was ok.

Liked Amazing location, really beautiful. Good sized pitches. Excellent facilities like the toilet block and showers. Reception was really friendly and welcoming. Great for visiting nearby Chouffe :) Good wifi.

Disliked The only thing we disliked is that you needed to pay for drinking water. Also the road behind the site was quite busy and noisy at times (not the fault of the campsite).

Liked Views, host Ed, the pitches, quiet and peaceful, lots of space. Showers and toilets block are good.

Disliked The entrance track has alot of potholes and wouldn't be suitable for low cars. Would benefit from an electric point in the shower block.
