Keen to soak up as much of the Black Forest atmosphere as you can – the sights, the sounds, the scents of this gorgeous woodland area? You’ll be able to immerse yourselves fully in forest surroundings at Waldcamping Birkendorf, a small family-run site among the trees about 10 minutes’ drive from Ühlingen-Birkendorf. There are all sorts of forest feels to get acquainted with here, from listening to birdsong to splashing around in the stream that runs past the site. If that’s given you a taste for cool water on your skin, you’ll be pleased to hear that you can get more of that at the Naturena bathing lake, a little under a kilometre away. And there are forest tastes too, as the site has its own restaurant where you can sample local specialities either in the cosy interior or out on the terrace (which cleverly has the play area in sight so that parents can have a drink/meal in peace while still keeping one eye on their kids). A small shop is also on site for those who’d rather do their own cooking, with barbecues provided for alfresco grill sessions too. Other facilities include a launderette, washing-up area, chemical disposal point and bathroom block with toilets and showers. Up for more forest action? There are plenty of options around for hiking, cycling, climbing, watersports and other activities, and some great views from the top of the Riesenbühlturm tower (20 minutes’ drive away).

Liked Sehr nette Inhaber die den Platz erst vor drei Jahren übernommen haben und sich nun bemühen den Platz zu renovieren und zu aktualisieren. Besonders schön ist der Spielplatz und auch die Lage umgeben von Wäldern. Nebenan das Sägewerk ist interessant und das Naturbad bietet Abkühlung, alles zusammen bringt die Umgebung den Kindern die Natur wieder näher. Insgesamt hat mir der Urlaub sehr gut gefallen

Disliked Mi aspettavo più alberi e più ombra all'interno del campeggio. Non c'è ne sono se non ai margini e non fanno ombra sulle postazioni.
Uniche prese elettriche per caricare telefono/altro, sono nel bagno o in lavanderia.

Liked Children’s play park. Toilets and shower facilities were clean. Local area is so peaceful. Local transport was free using the guest card. Local lakes are well worth the visit. The whole area is so set up for a calm holiday.

Liked Close proximity to forest walks. Close to local amenities. Felt safe onsite.

Disliked Tent pitches are next to the road, the sewage system, bins, play park and restaurant. Expect noise through the night.

The grass cutting was done very early in the morning and in close proximity to my sitting at my tent.

Danke für deine Bewertung.

Zu deinem Hinweis bezüglich "Lärm in der Nacht" müssen wir Stellung nehmen. Es tut uns leid, dass ihr anscheinend Lärm ausgesetzt wart. Unsere Kleinkläranlage hatte während der Zeit eures Aufenthaltes einen Defekt, weshalb der Motor die Nacht durch lief. Wir haben es gemerkt, weil es uns ein Gast gemeldet hat. Hättet ihr mit uns direkt geredet, anstatt es im Nachhinein in einer Bewertung zu schreiben, hättet ihr umgehend ruhige Nächte gehabt. Die Durchfahrtsstrasse, welche zum nächsten Mini-Dorf führt und sich hinter einer dichten Baum- und Buschreihe sowie hinter dem Bach befindet, ist so schwach befahren, dass dies sicher nicht als Lärmbelästigung empfunden werden kann.

Es ist tatsächlich das erste Mal, dass jemand unseren Platz als "laut" in der Nacht beschreibt, das können wir an dieser Stelle definitiv verneinen, weil unsere Gäste eigentlich genau das Gegenteil suchen und erleben.

In der Regel mähen wir unseren Rasen immer erst am Nachmittag, aufgrund der Feuchtigkeit am Morgen. Wir können es also nicht nachvollziehen, weshalb es dann genau anders war, insbesondere weil unser Mitarbeiter jeweils immer zuerst die Sanitär-Anlagen reinigt und dann mäht. Aber wir achten grundsätzlich darauf, dass am Morgen keine lauten Arbeiten stattfinden.

Super Platz für ein verlängertes Wochenende,aber 2 Wochen Urlaub nicht

Disliked Sanitär sehr alt, auf dem WC muss man schräg sitzen, weil der Jumbo WC Rollenhalter direkt davor verbaut wurde.
Nehmt ein sehr langes Stromkabel mit oder leiht euch eins aus. Lebensmittel überteuert vor Ort, 30 min bis zum nächsten Lebensmittelgeschäft, sehr viele Dauercamper

Local attractions

You won’t have to travel far to get a further fix of the forest – it’s a little less than a kilometre to swims in the Naturena bathing lake or kid-friendly walks on the BallForestPath Birkendorf, where you can buy a small wooden ball at the start and use it to play the marble run games along the trail. A little further afield there are lots of scenic spots to seek out, including Schluchsee (20 minutes’ drive), Wutach Gorge (25 minutes) and Titisee (half an hour). For more activity along the way, how about paddleboarding at Windgfällweiher (25 minutes) or crazy golf at Abenteuer-Golfpark Hochschwarzwald (half an hour)? Other days out might take you to meet animals and ride the toboggans at Steinwasen Park (an hour), see exotic beasts at Tatzmania Löffingen (35 minutes) or take urban strolls around Zurich or Freiburg im Breisgau (both about an hour). Or perhaps you’re ready for a drink – in which case, a trip to the Rothaus Brewery (10 minutes) might be rather appealing.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 7 day(s) of arrival.
Modifications are subject to a €50.00 (£43.37) fee.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
