What customers say
Great sea views, friendly staff, and handy amenities like the chippy and shop. Pitches are spacious and clean. Just be aware of potential crowds and noise during peak season, and some facilities could use an update.

Disliked We came on Friday just gone and left within 10 minutes of being there.
It was not advertised that the swimming pool was closed since September. The games room was so small and smelt
So we decided to leave.

It is a shame that you leave negative feedback for businesses due to your lack of basic research.
Pitches are pretty level how ever lighting is not the best
Upper area FHU gravel travel trailer campsite (super)
Liked Site is near the sea which is nice has a pub on site , plus chippy which was not open while we were there .
Disliked Got there @ 620pm was on top pitch & raining the lights are no use at all pitch 18 had the 8 missing off it . Ended up damaging back of the motor home on a bin wall as lighting is so poor & could not see it when reversing as pitch was not marked properly … now end up with a £1000.00 bill for new rear bumper 😡
Sorry but you should be taken to the pitch specially in bad weather & poor lighting at night . Also showers are poor & have to hold button to have a shower impossible really !!

From the manager: Wow I have read some rubbish in reviews before - but this is a first.
Are you seriously trying to blame us for you crashing your own motorhome that you were driving?!?! The pitches are very large and the pitch you had has got a street light right next to it - that should have helped with the map you were given. If you are unable to reverse, with or without the help of the person with you, then I worry for other road users. We best go check what damage you have caused to our property.
Just to clarify the fish and chip shop was open when you arrived.
Excellent site, lovely family run, great staff and clean facilities.
Upper area FHU gravel travel trailer campsite (super)
Liked We have really enjoyed our time away at the crows nest. Staff where all great, grounds all nice and tidy. We went on last weekend of the season and although shops and swimming pool wasnt in, we all had a great time. Singer on the saturday even where fantastic and lovely family friendly atmosphere.
Its been the best touring site went have been on, toilet blocks at a high standard, nice, clean and modern. Have family and disabled rooms also. Pitches where nice big size and all water ect on pitch.
We will 100% be returning.
Disliked We were on pitches furthest away from complex, and was extremely windy. There's no supports to break the wind, so had to take awning down to prevent any damage.

Just for other readers - the bar was open every night of half term, except Tuesday night, which unfortunately happened to be this guests first night.
Will definitely be back, hopefully in nicer weather.
Upper area FHU gravel travel trailer campsite (super)
Liked Lovely clean site, 15min drive from Scarborough or Filey. Cliff top walks in either direction. Toilets and showers lovely and clean.
Park is good to keep the kids amused while we chilled for a bit.
The skies at night, the stars were lovely to look at with the lack of light pollution.
Will definitely visit again.
Disliked The weather, can't really blame the site for that though 🤣
Can't really access the beach, it's mainly cliffs and eroded land like the rest of the east coast, again.... Not their fault.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We’ve seen your comments and private feedback regarding the swimming pool being closed. The pitchup website and booking policies clearly state that the pool and shop close from 28th September for the remainder of the season.
It’s disappointing to receive such negative feedback when this information was made available before booking. Rather than placing blame with us, we would encourage guests to review the details provided to ensure the park and its facilities meet their expectations.
Not dog friendly
Lower area FHU gravel travel trailer campsite (super)
Liked Location.
Disliked Supposed dog friendly site that is not dog friendly. Arrived after a long journey through a storm to find reception closed as "gone to lunch". Shower block in need of heating, hot water and showers that actually work. The only place on site that is open and warm in winter is the bar that is not dog friendly so told to sit in the conservatory which was freezing cold and not even a tv to watch the football. £120 for 3 nights is one of the worst value for money sites we have ever stayed at.
