A aimé Freedom to select our own pitch, Nice clean facilities, frequently cleaned several times daily. Pub, pool arcade, play park, dog park, good for small kids. Teen harder to entertain, but park had wifi close to main buildings, and area had good phone reception, so no real issues with getting them connected. Washup area, was brilliant, no queue, which always puts a smile on my face personally.

N'a pas aimé Visitors with dogs off leads, We have a Cane Corso, Well behaved, family loving dog. We always, Always! have a lead on him outdoors, not because he's dangerous to people in any way, but because he wants to play with other dogs. Other owners get frightened at the pure size of him, over react and panic. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU KEEP ALL DOGS ON A LEAD. It's not fair that our dog was forced to spend most of his holiday, in our tent.

N'a pas aimé The fact that dogs had to kept on leads at all times. We did not read. The very very small print at the bottom that said we were not allowed a small generator or our bike up with us. The toilets were not very clean the shop was a health and safety risk. As we went there once. There was boxes all over the floor with packaging left just floating around. And some young people stacking the shelves This should be done when the store is closed as my partner hurt her foot as she had not spotted the box poking out from half under a shelf The campsite covers most needs for able bodied people to have a pretty decent holiday. But make sure you read All the rules first.

We are pleased to hear you loved the location and found there was plenty of space for tents.

With regards to dogs, they must be kept on leads around the park for the safety and comfort of all guests. This is a standard rule on most holiday parks and is clearly included in our park rules, which guests agree to when booking. It is a reasonable expectation that guests read the rules they have agreed to before arrival.

Generators are not permitted on the camping field, as they can cause noise and disturbance to other guests. We appreciate this may not have suited your set up, but this rule is in place for good reason and is also part of the booking conditions.

We are sorry to hear you felt the toilets were not clean during your stay. Our facilities are checked and cleaned regularly, but during busy periods they can unfortunately deteriorate quickly depending on how guests use them.

With regards to the shop, deliveries and restocking do need to take place during opening hours so that guests have access to the products they need throughout the day. We are sorry to hear your partner caught her foot on a box, and we will remind the team to keep walkways as clear as possible.

A aimé Great camp site , loved it all can’t fault anything . My kids are 7 and 4 and they loved it . Beautiful views , park was fab the food was amazing and the party yous done for the kids was fab . Booking back up already for august bank holiday .

A aimé Was our first time camping and honestly we couldn’t have chose a better site!
Location was beautiful and had lovely views.
Excellent facilities that seemed to be cleaned multiple times a day.
We had 2 young children who loved the park. We were initially worried as it’s pretty close to the cliff but pitched ourself further way to lessen the worry. 5 minute drive to Cayton Bay beach which was lovely.
Shop on site was very reasonably priced (which we didn’t expect)
Will be coming back next year!

A aimé We don't normally use large sites for the two of us, but our daughter found this one and thought it would be ideal for our camping trip of two nights with her and the grandchildren. It certainly was. Although it was fairly busy on Saturday we managed to find a flat pitch together. It was a change not to have a fixed size pitch and it worked well. I imagine it can get a bit crowded on busy weekends though. (Tip, arrive Sunday!) We loved the pool and although it was extra it was well worth the unlimited time in there. Our two loved the slides and it was really warm when we went in. They also made good use of the playground which had plenty of variety for younger & older children. Fish & chips were good, and the children's entertainment on Sunday night. Grandad made use of the bar for a decent pint and stopped for a game of pool with grandson :-).
We caught the bus into Scarborough, with the stop at the bottom of the site it was great to get as far as the North Beach & Peasholme Park in one journey.

Toilets were cleaned daily and were spotless at 7.30 when the ladies finished. They must have had an early start - thank you! It might be an idea to have a separate bin for nappies to save people filling the sanitary bins?
There was little a bit of rubbish about, but there were lots of Biffa bins about for people to use.

Would use the site again, with or without grandchildren.

N'a pas aimé Dogs, or rather people with dogs who seemed unable to use the exercise field provided! Nothing the site owners can do, just one of our bugbears!

It is great to know you found a suitable pitch, even during a busy weekend, and that the pool, slides, play park, fish and chips, children’s entertainment and bar all added to your stay.

We are especially glad the bus stop at the bottom of the site made it easy to visit Scarborough without needing to drive.

Thank you for your kind comments about the cleaning team too. They do work hard from early in the morning to keep the facilities clean and well maintained.

We appreciate your comments regarding sanitary bins, litter and dog owners not always using the dog exercise field or cleaning up properly. There are plenty of bins around the park, but unfortunately a small number of guests do not always use them as they should.

With regards to food prices, all prices are clearly advertised before purchase, so guests can choose whether or not they wish to buy from the fish and chip shop or burger van and the cost of meals purchased.

There are also lots of restaurants, cafés and takeaways locally, as well as our on site shop which is reasonably priced for guests who prefer a cheaper option.

We are glad you otherwise enjoyed your stay, and we hope to welcome you back to Crows Nest in the future.

A aimé Everything was close by easy access in and out, kids loved having the pool so close to our tent, the entertainment in the bar was great.

With regards to the beach, Crows Nest is situated on an eroding cliff top and we would not recommend guests, especially those with children, trying to access the beach directly at the bottom of the cliffs. The coastal location gives fantastic views, but safe beach access is best made via Cayton Bay nearby.
