  • Superbly located Surrey campsite with easy motorway access
  • Thorpe Park, Windsor Castle and Legoland Windsor within 30 mins' drive
  • On the banks of the River Thames, with Thames Path access
What a handy camping spot this is… Laleham Camping Club has easy access to the M3 and M25 motorways, it’s close to Heathrow airport and Staines railway station is only about 10 minutes’ drive away for easy jaunts to the capital. On top of all that, there are all sorts of attractions within easy reach, including Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures, Windsor Castle and Legoland Windsor. And if that all sounds a bit exhausting, it’s good to know that the location within London’s protected Green Belt means you’ll have peaceful surroundings for relaxing on site. The River Thames runs alongside, giving you access to the Thames Path for walks and bike rides, or to the water for kayaking, paddleboarding and swims. The nearest major urban centre is Staines, accessible by car, bus or a walk along the riverbank and with a good collection of shops and restaurants, plus a cinema. Closer to home, Laleham village is 10 minutes’ stroll away, and has a convenience store and a choice of three pubs. The folk that run this Surrey site haven’t just relied on their location, though – they’ve made sure the place is a comfortable place to stay, with a good number of facilities including a launderette, free hot showers and handy extras including hairdryers and shaver points. Chillout time is well spent here too – there’s a small play park with sandpit in the centre of the site, and a wet-weather room with Sky TV, a pool table, table tennis and a dartboard. Next door in Laleham Park there’s an outdoor gym, a bigger play park and plenty of space to play games or walk dogs.

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked: The staff were great, welcoming and accommodating. The facilities were clean and showers were perfect.
Lots to do on site with the games room, tennis, a park and lots of space for any other field games.
It's right by the Thames for any water activities and a short walk from a few good pubs.
Also, a very short drive to Thorpe Park which was our main reason to stay 🎢

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked: Didn’t like the site

Disliked: Stayed one night
Poor facilities, shower/toilets in need of modernising along with site
Overpriced at £30 per night plus £10 for electric hook up
Stayed at 5 star sites where facilities are amazing for £30 per night including electric hook up over looking a pretty harbour
Site gates locked 8pm - 8am which was a nuisance nearest place for food n drinks was too far to walk
Needs barrier with number plate recognition for entry or exit
Didn’t like the fact you couldn’t come n go between these times
Would definitely not stay there again

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked: The hosts were very helpful and welcoming.

Location was fab.

The facilities were very average.

Playground and games room were a nice touch.

The site is directly under a flight path so was very noisy, may not suit some children with additional needs.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked: The site is in a good location with gates into the surrounding Laleham park which was excellent for dogs. The park is big, impressive trees, open grass and wooded parts with hidden paths, good outdoor gym and play area for older kids. The footpath along the river is just across the road from the entrance. Camp warden was friendly and relaxed. Toilet/shower block is large and cleaned regularly and the washing up/laundry room was clean and well set-up. Very hot water! Didn't use games room but a handy addition. There's even a herb garden.

Pitches were large, level and tidy. You could use the freezer in reception for freezer blocks (free), and charge your phone in the wash room and toilet block.

Disliked: There's a slight hum from the M3, but after the first night you tend not to notice it. It wouldn't put me off returning and I'm a traffic-noise phobic.

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked: Lovely area, extremely friendly and helpful staff, clean toilets and showers - never experienced lack of hot water and showered at various points of morning and evening. No noise disturbances from other campers. Lovely little playground within the campsite but also a playground just outside too. Close to supermarkets. Would stay again.

Disliked: No complaints
