  • Superbly located Surrey campsite with easy motorway access
  • Thorpe Park, Windsor Castle and Legoland Windsor within 30 mins' drive
  • On the banks of the River Thames, with Thames Path access
What a handy camping spot this is… Laleham Camping Club has easy access to the M3 and M25 motorways, it’s close to Heathrow airport and Staines railway station is only about 10 minutes’ drive away for easy jaunts to the capital. On top of all that, there are all sorts of attractions within easy reach, including Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures, Windsor Castle and Legoland Windsor. And if that all sounds a bit exhausting, it’s good to know that the location within London’s protected Green Belt means you’ll have peaceful surroundings for relaxing on site. The River Thames runs alongside, giving you access to the Thames Path for walks and bike rides, or to the water for kayaking, paddleboarding and swims. The nearest major urban centre is Staines, accessible by car, bus or a walk along the riverbank and with a good collection of shops and restaurants, plus a cinema. Closer to home, Laleham village is 10 minutes’ stroll away, and has a convenience store and a choice of three pubs. The folk that run this Surrey site haven’t just relied on their location, though – they’ve made sure the place is a comfortable place to stay, with a good number of facilities including a launderette, free hot showers and handy extras including hairdryers and shaver points. Chillout time is well spent here too – there’s a small play park with sandpit in the centre of the site, and a wet-weather room with Sky TV, a pool table, table tennis and a dartboard. Next door in Laleham Park there’s an outdoor gym, a bigger play park and plenty of space to play games or walk dogs.

What customers say

This friendly, well-kept campground gets high marks for its prime Thames-side spot, roomy sites, and helpful staff. Facilities are usually clean, though some say they need updating. Great for families with play areas and close to Thorpe Park. Occasional plane noise is generally minor.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked Staff very hard working efficient
and helpful always willing to help and polite they work very hard

And The fact you could leave something on charge and it was there when you
Comeback (in the washing up
Room and the games room )
The honesty of other campers makes it feels safe and at ease to do so nice to be respectful of Each other it does not happen that much these days anymore 🤷‍♀️

Disliked The fact that the gates were open all
Night to open spaces was daunting and uneasy sleeping and
Given the current situation in the world they should be locked after 11.45 pm
No entertainment or a small bar with cold
Drinks after 8pm or sandwich bar maybe

Liked Great location, just off from the Thames, in between two lovely pubs.
10 mins away from Thorpe park and 30 mins away from Legoland.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
We were slightly apprehensive regarding the parking situation, just from reading people’s comments, however it was a really good way of keeping the site quieter and safer for kids.
Your car is parked in the designated parking area and you can come and go from there as you please.
Also regarding the recent reviews on showers… yes they are a little dated but they do the job, the cleaner comes once a day and i guess in between them times they are only as clean as the public keep them!
Great stay and will probably visit again :)

Nice friendly and helpful staff

Disliked In the flight path for Heathrow so planes can be very low and loud but this is no fault of the camp. We would 100% stay again.

Power optional grass campsite

Liked The guy was great, really helpful. The site had good toilets (lots of them given the size so never had to queue) and showers with warm water!
As the site was small it allowed our young kids chance to be kids and go to the play area without us hanging over them all the time which they loved. It is also placed basically in a park so we went for a walk and went to 2 other play areas too. They ran a scavenger hunt and my girls loved it - and they got a decent prize which was a nice surprise. Would be happy to go back.
