What customers say
This is a peaceful, dog-friendly site with beautiful views and direct access to forest walks. Guests praise the friendly owners and excellent dog walking areas. Facilities are generally clean and well-maintained, though some describe them as dated. Midges can be an issue in warmer months. The remote location means shops and pubs are a drive away, making it ideal for a quiet getaway.

Liked The dog walk and pools were doggie heaven for our lurcher. We also enjoyed a quick wild swim. There was always plenty of hot water for showers and washing up. A really beautiful quiet site with friendly owners.

We are so pleased you enjoyed your recent stay here and your dog especially liked the great number of dog walks.

A tired site but the showers were clean with plenty of hot water.

Liked The best dog exercise area of any campsite that I've ever seen. It must be 10 acres of fields with ponds, a river and loads of paths cut through the long grasses. The location was fantastic for walkers. It is on the Pennine way so there are lots of great walks immediately beside it.
Disliked The black water cassette sluice area was disgusting. It was green with slime and had not been cleaned for some time.It would only take a 10 minute clean up with a hose to drastically improve it.
There are no shops with the nearest being 9 miles away.

From the manager: Actually dog walk is 30 acres.
Will do something about Black water disposal area ,until you commented not something I checked.,only to see how full it is, costly job getting it emptied.
Michael
Will go again.
