What customers say
This small, friendly campsite boasts a fantastic location, a short walk from Cayton Bay beach, with many visitors praising the helpful and welcoming owner, Rebecca. Facilities, including toilets and showers, are generally reported as clean and well-maintained, though some reviews mention them being basic or needing an upgrade. Road noise is a recurring theme, and the presence of flies, particularly during warmer months, has been noted. The site is appreciated for its peaceful atmosphere, though some found pitches to be on a slope.

This is a great little site, perfect location for exploring the coast
Non-electric grass and earth tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Small, rural site, spacious pitches, clean & well stocked facilities. We had a great few days here, Rebecca (the site owner) was so attentive and nothing was too big an ask. Being a rural area the ground is uneven but our pitch was great and everything we needed, with plenty of space for French cricket which is a given on our camping trips. We had the added bonus on our last night where one of the local chickens joined our party and spent a good while on one of our camping chairs! We were dubious having read lots of reviews...everyone has their own experience and i respect that, but all I can say is we had the best time and thanks to Rebecca for being such an attentive host ❤️
Disliked There were flies around, but camping we had no bother sitting out for hours day and night, we were genuinely rarely bothered by them.

Liked Friendly welcoming owner. Easy walking distance to a beautiful beach. Good communication prior to arrival
Disliked A lot of flies in the bathrooms. Could be made better with some simple deterrents. Very noisy road nearby traffic 24 hours a day

Non-electric grass and earth tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Great location and friendly site. Nice location close to the beach, with good facilities. It’s a friendly, family-run site. A lovely place to stay, although the number of flies during our visit was a real downside.
Disliked Flies, lots of them. I realise this is largely out of the owner’s control, which is a shame because otherwise the site is great. Unfortunately, there were just so many flies that it became difficult to enjoy our stay. I’ve never experienced anything quite like it — the sheer number of them was unreal. Such a shame, as the site itself is otherwise excellent.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Beautiful area, clean facilities, lovely owner and overall a beautiful stay. We had one of their chickens with us for nearly our whole stay, very wholesome. It can be a bit bad for flies but nothing but a can of fly spray can’t solve, overall a beautiful stay! And will be coming back again next year!

Very relaxed couple of nights
Non-electric grass and earth tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Lovely little campsite, basic but providing everything we needed. We were allowed to chose our pitch, which was much appreciated as our trailer tent requires a level pitch. The host was very accommodating and friendly.
We will be back.
Disliked Being surrounded by fields, we did experience some rural smell due to fertiliser spraying, which attracted lots of flies, but this is obviously not in the power of the campsite owner and is not a permanent issue.
