Syntes om Surprised my Wife with a short overnight stay on the way to Whitby.

This was a great little quiet spot. Site Ower communication, prep, and friendliness was 100%. Jacuzzi was a highlight. Plenty of wood to burn, pre heated on arrival. Firepit available if needed as well as indoor heating, fans, fridge and Microwave. Will definitely be back again.

Syntes ikke om Flies. The owner provided nets, bug spray, door netting, window netting, and we read this in previous reviews. We also brought our own zapper. Ps, this is not the owners fault, they have clearly done a lot of prevention here. Remeber, your on a farm, pumpkin patch in full swing, standing water. Also, bring your own tea/coffee mugs, kettle is provided, but there were only two glasses, and two plastic champagne glasses.

Syntes om Stayed here for one night and absolutely loved it pods were clean and hot tub was lovely Rebecca the host was lovely and friendly and would definitely recommend we will definitely be back at some point

Syntes om The pitch sizes was good, it was a back to basics site. Electric was great. Basic facilities which i did see getting cleaned more then once in the day. Friendly owner. Short walk to cayton bay beach.
Farm shop is reasonably priced and we had their pastires so nice.
Local pub is super dog friendly

Syntes ikke om It wasn't such a dislike as we had an amazing weekend but from other comments yes there is road noise just took a while to get used to on a night time. Flies wasnt as bad as reviews say this visit, but if your not used to them then yes they could be a problem we did have to use fly spray in our tent we just sprayed in a morning as we was going out. Our pitch was also on a slope so be aware you may need to alter items to make them flat not really alot the owner can do.

Syntes om This is our second stay at The paddock this year, its in a perfect spot for acces to the beach which is only a 15-20min walk away or a very short drive. Warm showers are available in this quiet and secluded camp site. Rebecca the owner is very friendly and helpful. Thank you

Syntes ikke om Our first stay at the beginning of August, temperatures were very high, which seemed to have an effect on the amount of flies around. This time, this wasn't an issue for us.

The site is small, 3 yurts and 3 glamp pods. Space for a few tents ect.

Nice walk to Cayton Bay.

Syntes ikke om Very noisy even on night time. There were sheep making a lot of noise all night too.

Lady who owned the site was pleasant but needs to look at who's coming and what they are staying with. I had a tent box, emailed a week before asking if I could add a pup tent child and dog to booking was told yes will be extra £60. Got there was asked to park outside the site and said that will be hard and would expect my money back as i was in tent box on car top.
The showers had faeces on wall like someone smeared it on. The drains in there were not nice.

There were a million flies in the 4 shower/toilet units. And the toilets were in same bits as shower. So if 4 were showering you'd not be able to use toilet. And the shower/toilets smelled of fly spray. Not very good for an asthmatic. The flies were left on the floor. There were so many dead flies and ones flying round. They dive bombed you

Fra bestyreren: Thankyou for taking the time to write a Review for us regarding your stay.I shall address each of your points.I'm pleased you found myself to be pleasant to deal with both at checkin & during your stay with us.As regards your booking,I did know who was staying I had your name on my list /phone but you are correct I did'nt realise initally your pitch type. I thought youd brought a tent however you quickly corrected me you'd brought aTentbox.This was instantly sorted & you were allocated a level & gravelled pitch.Also at checkin, you informed me you could no longer stay for the duration of your booking due to a change in your family circumstances & requested a refund for this.I referred you to our cancellation policy which is clearly detailed on Pitch Up when making your booking.You were not happy about this.You requested extra people/ items next to your Pitch which was quickly accommodated & paid for.
As regards the noise of sheep bleeting...I'm at a loss as to a response here ...We are in a rural location & sometimes there are sheep in the field thats the countryside!Yes we have had flies this year due to neighbouring farms & their farming practices.This issue is now in the hands of the Local Authority & effective measures are being sort to remedy this for future seasons.As regards the showerblock it is cleaned daily some 3/4 times & checked & restocked every 1-2 hours especially in busy times.Yes, a guest had made a vile mess in one of the wc s during your stay & as you full well know, this was deep cleaned with a power tool & quickly & thoroughly remedied as soon as we were aware of the problem.We cannot patrol each wetroom after every single customer but do however carry out regular checks including sweeping up flies & using fly spray to kill the numbers.

Syntes om Small, rural site, spacious pitches, clean & well stocked facilities. We had a great few days here, Rebecca (the site owner) was so attentive and nothing was too big an ask. Being a rural area the ground is uneven but our pitch was great and everything we needed, with plenty of space for French cricket which is a given on our camping trips. We had the added bonus on our last night where one of the local chickens joined our party and spent a good while on one of our camping chairs! We were dubious having read lots of reviews...everyone has their own experience and i respect that, but all I can say is we had the best time and thanks to Rebecca for being such an attentive host ❤️

Syntes ikke om There were flies around, but camping we had no bother sitting out for hours day and night, we were genuinely rarely bothered by them.

Syntes om Lovely place to stay . Very clean and quiet . Landlady is such a lovely person . Facilities are great . We are planning on going back there soon .

Syntes om Friendly welcoming owner. Easy walking distance to a beautiful beach. Good communication prior to arrival

Syntes ikke om A lot of flies in the bathrooms. Could be made better with some simple deterrents. Very noisy road nearby traffic 24 hours a day
