What customers say
This is a peaceful, back-to-basics campsite on a working farm, praised for its friendly staff, spacious pitches, and farm animals, making it ideal for families. Guests appreciate the rural location, convenience of an on-site shop, and fire pits. While facilities are basic, they are generally found to be clean and functional, though some visitors note that the compost toilets and showers may not suit everyone and could benefit from some attention. Manager replies indicate issues with toilet privacy and noise have been noted.

Great site with a lovely warm welcome
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Great site, simple essentials all on site. Great location, nice local pub and the kids enjoyed paddling in the river. Based on a working farm, we purchased sausages from the shop and witnessed a calf being born!

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked It was such a lovely site with friendly hosts and very good neighbours (cows and ducks in the fields behind) the shop onsite provided most things we needed for our stay, a very short walk to the local pub and a nice day out walk to Clarkson’s pub if you feel up to it, as well as only a 30 minute drive to Oxford park and ride. The facilities were different but very pro environment! The large pitches were great and the site was peaceful just a perfect weekend away. There was good cell reception but no wifi which to me was perfect to disconnect from a busy life.

Happy to return to this basic but enjoyable camping experience.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Immersed in Nature, completely away from town life, very peaceful and great to escape, on a farm where kids could see animals up close. Communication very good and helpful with a later arrival.
