Liked The campsite was very well looked after and quiet. The farm was very sweet as you can tell the animals are looked after well.
Disliked I should have asked for fire wood in advance which I wasn't aware of.

From the manager: Thanks for your review. Sorry about the wood if you had said I would have left you some. We used to leave wood out for late comers but people would take some and not pay.
A lovely farm camp site. Will e returning.

A lovely site.
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Small, peaceful site with compost toilets and simple showers but the water was hot and plentiful.
Lovely to see pigs, cows, hens and ducks and a small play area for children.
Easy walk to look around the pretty village of Shilton. Great location for Crocodiles of the world, Burford and Cotswold wildlife park.
Farm shop on site selling their delicious bacon, eggs and sausage.
We enjoyed seeing the aeroplanes going to and from Brize Norton.
Disliked Washing up area is a tap and sink which was fine as we like simple camping but no shelter if it was raining.

From the manager: Thanks for your kind review, so sorry about the washing up station we do want to improve it.
Really liked the mowed out pitches…
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Really liked the mowed out pitches with fire pit included! I think it says you must buy wood from the farm but when we arrived the wonderful host Celia, said that wasn't the case and ppl can bring their own. Lovely and quiet, fridge available to use, composting toilets were very clean! Would definitely stay again. Perfect base for The Farmers Dog, although we struggled to get an Uber (we didn't get one at all) so might be good to arrange a taxi before arrival.

Brilliant farm stay.
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Lovely people. The team were so helpful. The shop sold superb meat, eggs and a variety of other products for campers. Meeting the baby pigs and cows was fantastic. A small site, large pitches and well kept amenities. Great location for walking.
Disliked Nothing at the campsite itself, it was all great. I would note that the local pub, the Shilton Rose and Crown, is very pricey and has a grumpy landlord who won't serve food in the grassy area of the garden and basically threw our starter at us. The other staff were lovely though, and food is very good if you can afford it and you aren't vegetarian. I recommend just buying from the camp farm shop and BBQ for yourself!
