What customers say
This is a peaceful, spacious campsite with a natural feel, offering a "wild camping" experience close to Oxford. Visitors praise the large, private pitches, river access for swimming and kayaking, and the friendly, helpful owners. Basic, clean facilities are provided, including hot showers and eco-toilets. Some guests noted the distance to amenities and occasional issues with wasps, but most found the site to be a relaxing escape. Updates have been made regarding pub information, and improvements to toilet facilities are being investigated.

Quiet and calm campsite, with decent (if basic) facilities.

Perfect if you want a more “wild”, quiet and simple site
Freedom non-electric grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Big area, few other people. Perfect! Plenty of space to be away from other people. Very quiet. Basic facilities so you have what you need, even if it’s a bit of a walk. Plenty of trees/hedges so it’s not a huge bleak area. Nice spots near the river.
Disliked Not a dislike but worth knowing - there are chemical loos dotted about but I only saw one shower and washing up place so be prepared for walk or have your own solution!

Beautiful peaceful retreat but workout very expensive for us
Freedom non-electric grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked The freedom of the site and the peace of the river . The little woodland hub is a gem
Disliked Using pitch up we both had to pay for a green camping subscription each . This put the price up to a ridiculous amount. Would like to know more about this as don't know where to ask or how to use it again.
Owners website did not include this price but i could not get a booking on this Have been advised by owner web site was working and that i wasn't using the drop down menu. I can confirm i was and only Eco camping would show not free camping as we wanted . Very pricy but would have paid that to the site owner as is so beautiful.
