Primitive grass and earth tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite (wild)
Liked: Just about everything. The location is beautiful. It's hard to believe it's so close to Oxford.
The pitch sites are really big. We were on pitch B and could barely see the other pitches or hear anyone else who was camping on site. It feels very isolated.
We loved hearing and watching birds, including owls, red kites and the many pheasants.
Disliked: It's definitely not a deal breaker, but obviously emptying the compost loos isn't a pleasant job.
It's actually prety quick and easy. For me it's offset by the convenienceof having a loo on your own pitch, but it's important people know this is part of the deal before arriving!

The Coop cabin
Liked: The location - pitch space was massive, couldn't see neighbours from the coop, or hear them! Had our own access point to the River. Very peaceful and tranquil. I want to stay there every week!
The river - instructions on how to get down to the River and where the deep spots were are documented in our accommodation. Water was mild. Didn't get bit by a mozzy!
The owner - my booking was cancelled at short notice due to a glitch on the system. I spoke to Fiona who apologised, explained, and rectified the situation very quickly.
Welcome email - had a useful list of everything we may need for our stay.
Welcome pack - logs, firelighters, quality sponge, bin liners, washing up liquid all included. The coop aslos had most utensils (except a spatula) and tea bags!
Neighbours- the other campers were very friendly and polite.
The map - there is a map at the farm showing where to go. You need to go offroading to get to the campsite. Easy to navigate. Would be helpful for the map to be attached to the welcome email.
The checkout time - 12pm.
Footpaths to the pub
Kid friendly - kayaks, rope swings, the plot on the coop had a gate which can shut to stop kids running in the river.
Disliked: That my original booking was double booked!
Farm shop - we were excited to bring some meat home on Saturday. Website states the shop is open Saturdays. But when we arrived it was closed with a sign saying "click and collect only". Would be helpful to have that info before hand so we could preorder.
Locating the kayaks - it wasn't clear where the kayaks lived. We called the landline on farm website and left a message. In the end we went on a mini adventure and found them ourselves. They are located in the holt.
The kayaks- we did have so much fun with these. But they are small! I think for children. We struggled getting in and out of them.
Emptying the compost loo - but it is a sacrifice I am willing to make as the stay was wonderful.
