What customers say
This is a well-maintained and clean campsite with excellent facilities, particularly for families with young children. It boasts a great playground and a popular swimming pool. The location is ideal for accessing the Tissington Trail for walks and cycling. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful. Some campers noted issues with the distance to toilets and the cleanliness of facilities during busy periods. A few guests experienced problems with booking the pool and some pitches were reportedly uneven.

Really lovely well kept site, great for kids and location stunning
Bell tent (four person)
Liked The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Special thanks to Mandy for bringing me an electric kettle! I really liked the well kept play area for the children, they loved it, and my children also loved swimming at the pool. The bell tent we stayed in was lovely, the beds were comfy and little things had been thought of - storage bench for storing food items, electric hook up, a light which you can attach to the central pole of the tent, small table and board so you can have your breakfast in bed, and a bench with storage to keep shoes tidy. The tent was immaculate and we would stay in one again.
Disliked The bell tents are new to the site and for convenience at present there are two portaloos in close proximity - this is a great idea but I think the site needs to consider moving them further away from the tents as they are too close - they smell awful! That is the only thing we disliked! I can see why they are there - they just need to be further down the lower end of the field! A simple pot wash area would also be great nearer these tents, otherwise it’s a fair walk away.

A fantastic stay at a wonderful camp site!
Bell tent (four person)
Liked Ashbourne Heights has always been a favorite camping location for us as a family and we would recommend anyone staying. After trying out electric and non electric tent pitches we tried out the new bell tents and they didn’t let us down! The decoration inside is beautiful and the location is perfect for getting onto the Tissington Trail. There were Porter loos close by but the shower and toilet block was a 5 minute walk at best! Very peaceful and as always a great stay! Thank you.

Camping pod
Liked The pod was brilliant. Clean and surprisingly spacious (compared to others we have stayed at). Beds were comfortable and the shower/toilet/washing up area was very handy.
The site was great for the kids, they loved the park and there was lots of room to play too.
Pool was good and shop had the basics.
Disliked The only negative were the wasps but this can’t be helped.

Fantastic family campsite. Loved it!
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked The playground is fantastic for all age kids, and loved that the grass pitches were around the park so we could oversee the kids easily. Fantastic dog walk! Swimming pool is great. We had a fantastic time camping here. Would go back!

Electric grass tent pitch
Liked Great pool, which requires booking, this really managed guests with great success ensuring the pool wasn't to busy!
The facilities were excellent, very clean showers/toilets which were always fully stocked
Park was great, lots of things for children to play on with lots of space to run around
You can clearly see that the staff have pride in the park, its spotless everywhere!
Disliked Slight trek from our pitch to wash up area
Minimal signal at the site (obviously they don't have control over this)

Quiet site, okay for short stays
Electric grass tent pitch
Liked Quiet site, good spacing, nice open areas for children to play. Park was big, children enjoyed the different equipment. Toilets were clean majority of the time
Disliked We were placed quite far from the toilets and park which was difficult with young kids at night time. Wash up areas very far from the camping area also. Shop was very expensive! Only one pub within walking distance.
