Liked Lovely site with great facilities. Clean hot showers. Nice bar and pool. Friendly staff. Bread ordered the day before and delivered to you pitch in the morning. Perfect location for visiting the Chateaux of the Dordogne. Lots to do in the area, plan to come back next year 😀

Liked Lovely site with with excellent hosts, Franck and Martine, who couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. The touring pitches were tucked to one side and with a rubble surface but surprisingly level! The site has a pool, sauna and other facilities for camper’s use. All clean and well kept. Bread ordered the day before is delivered to you pitch in the morning by Franck. Only stayed one night but would happily have stayed more

Disliked Effectively only one shower and one accessible shower for touring pitches. That said not a problem to us early risers!

Liked Lovely site with great hosts. All facilities you need plus a pool and bar. Bread to order. Site has an eco label so takes great care of waste segregation. Food waste is separated for composting or feeding chickens. Good fun to walk down to composting area and see the chicken recipients 😀

Liked Lovely site right on the river. Facilities were good including clean hot showers. Staff friendly and welcoming. English spoken. Pitches were spacious and level, separted with hedges/trees. Pleasant walk along the river into town for bread :-)

Liked This is a lovely site with great facilities. Owners are friendly and helpful. The site is well laid out with many really nice pitches. Although we didn’t use it this time the on-site bar, restaurant and pool looked lovely. A short walk to an excellent boulangerie for bread in the morning or to local restaurant. Only stayed two nights on our way north through France but we will certainly stay here again

Disliked If I was to be picky the shower temperature was a little low and it was a stretch to reach the electric point (fortunately there was no one using the pitch next door so we were able to run the cable across so no issue in this case. …. but I am being picky, didn’t really dislike anything!

Liked Great location at the marina. Warm, clean, hot showers. Other reviews said showers were an issue as bathroom style and shared with canal boats but we had no issue at all. Loved the birds in and around the site, got through a whole bag of bird seed! Reasonably spacious level pitches with water and electric at each pitch. Great pub for beer and food within walking distance. All in all , would highly recommend.

Liked Lovely site with view over the lake. Toilet / shower block was clean and warm. Only a couple of showers in ladies but probably sufficient for the number of pitches. There is an excellent Tapas restaurant adjacent to the site, well worth a visit!

Disliked No one was available in the office when we arrived. We managed to get the pitch number from the restaurant staff but after the we were on our own. Not really a problem as pitches were clearly marked and we had no issues.

Liked We picked this site as it was on our way home from holiday and we wanted an overnight stop to break the journey. The site has 15 well spaced out pitches which, even if busy would give plenty of room. As is happened we were the only ones staying so had it all to ourselves which was great :-). Site is in a great location, a visit to Rudyard Lake as must, and glorious views. Toilet / shower block was clean and warm but only one shower. Not a problem to us in our splendid isolation but could have been if site were busy. Plenty of hot water including washing up area which was a bonus, although washing up was outside so a little damp in the rain! Site is very peaceful (when no events taking place)

Disliked Potential issue with only a single shower. Previous reviews mention noise from the wedding venue on site. We were not affected by this but could imagine there being and issue had there been an event taking place. Site is very peaceful

Liked A lovely, peaceful site in stunning location. A large field with unlimited pitch size. Even when "full" there is plenty of room and no sense of overcrowding. Facilities are basic but clean with a powerful hot shower. The owners are friendly and helpful. Able to purchase eggs and sausage, making for a delicious breakfast! You can walk from the site, with info provided on a couple of circular walks, or a short loop to the pub. Easy access off site to North Wales. Fabulous sunset! This was our first experience "off grid" with no problem at all. Loved this site and we will certainly be back :-)

Disliked If I was to be picky, the roads for the last mile or so to access the farm are narrow but small price to pay for such a location and no real issue for our campervan!

Liked Lovely site in brilliant location. The facilities are great especially the showers, loads of hot water :-). Dave and Ingrid are friendly and helpful. Lovely walks direct from the site with easy access to Colemere and the canal. Have stayed here before and most certainly will stay again!

Liked Lovely site, peaceful , surrounded by trees and very close to the mere. We loved listening to the owl at night. The facilities were excellent, clean showers with plenty of hot water water. The communal seething/kitchen area was also lovely although we spent most of our time sitting by our van as the weather was good 😊 Helpful , friendly staff, came past each evening to check we were ok. There are brilliant walks direct from the site, around the mere or longer, into Ellesmere along the canal

Liked Small friendly site in lovely location, along with easy walking distance to great local pub :-). Facilities were very good, clean hot showers and washing up area. A little shop in reception has the basics if you run out which is great. Owners friendly and helpful. Great value for money. Would certainly recommend and will likely return.

Liked This is a lovely campsite, beautifully laid out with plenty of space between pitches. The facilities are excellent. Shower blocks were bright and very clean, lovely hot showers :-). Plenty of bins, recycling points and a washing up area, again with nice hot water. You can walk into the village were there is a small shop which sells everything! and a local pub. Around 3/4 mile the other way is Dolwen Farm Shop, excellent for all your breakfast and BBQ needs! We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recomend
