Well now, this is pretty perfect. You'll be able to spy plenty of reasons why guests return to award-winning, peaceful and popular Plas Farm Caravan Park year after year: it’s in a wildlife haven covering 12 acres of viewful Conwy countryside, and is kept impeccably clean by owners John and Sian. And it comes with easy access to some of Wales’s top attractions – the beaches and coastal walks of north Wales are three miles away and the coastal A55 road is within easy reach to get to Chester, the Isle of Anglesey and Snowdonia. A pub within walking distance and takeaway deliveries straight to one’s pitch probably help too… John and Sian opened Plas Farm as a campsite in the grounds of a Grade II-listed 16th-century farmhouse and keep it to stellar standards, with spotless toilets, showers with heaps of hot water and roomy pitches laid out to give maximum privacy. There are acres of room for the kids to run around and the farm also has its own woodland walk for dog walks. Betws yn Rhos and its shop are a short walk away to pick up supplies; this is also where you’ll find the local pub.

Liked Friendly helpful staff. Country side farm setting, level gravel pitch. Facilities clean & with nice hot showers. Perfect WiFi & TV signal.

Liked Fantastic site!

A warm welcome by the friendly staff at reception and given all the useful information. Upon entering the site, we were instantly impressed!

Extremely well kept, clean site. The grass was beautifully cut and everywhere looked inviting! Our pitch was superb, very spacious and lovely surrounding.

The toilet/shower block again was immaculate, not once did we see any mess! Showers were great size, lovely and hot.

Wifi was fantastic and a massive unexpected bonus, kept the little one very happy!

Highly recommended and would 100% visit again!

Liked The site was fantastic set in great grounds, the pitch we had was probs the biggest I've been on ,very quiet and just great to chill out.
There is a pub 10 mins walk away spent a few hours in there,a shop over the road from it too,by the way if you like Indian food you will love there's all home made you just need to heat it up!
But we'll worth trying.
The facilities were fantastic to,very clean and large showers
Will 100% be back

Liked Nice site with clean and tidy facilities. Lovely play area and plenty of local amenities.

Disliked Pitch size OK but for extra large the awning was still on the grass. The water was on the wrong side of the pitch to the van meaning we couldn’t set up the pump. Showers were cold in the facilities block.

Liked Lovely site, spacious pitches, peaceful with the farm land around. Great for kids with the play area. clean facilities.

Disliked wifi was very slow but appreciate in the middle of a rural setting. It didnt bother us too much.

Disliked Only thing negative was the showers weren’t hot enough they was just warm maybe that’s just me as I like a hot shower x Also the pot holes goin in by the building need seeing too x

Route directions

The site recommends that guests do not use Satnavs to find the site. Instead, leave the A55 at junction 22 and continue straight ahead at the mini roundabout onto Llanelian Road, the B5383. Travel straight for approximately four miles until you reach Dolwen. Turn left at the T junction, straight over at the crossroads signposted Betws Yn Rhos. Turn at the next available sharp left turn, signposted Abergele & Plas Farm. The site is down the road on the left.

Take your bucket and spade to Wales' largest coastal town, the Victorian seaside town of Llandudno (25 minutes’ drive), to see Wales' longest pier, as well as the view from the cable car that goes up the Great Orme. Other seaside antics can be had at Rhyl (25 minutes), which has six miles of sand; Prestatyn (half an hour, or follow the sand from Rhyl); and Colwyn Bay (15 minutes) with three miles of Blue Flag beaches. The Welsh Mountain Zoo, home to exotic birds and animals and local farm animals, is just outside Colwyn Bay. Inland, holidaymakers of all sorts can enjoy a day out at Snowdonia's award-winning GreenWood Forest Park (40 minutes), with a wealth of things to do, including the world's only human-powered rollercoaster, a 70m toboggan run, four indoor play barns for rainy days and regular art and craft activities for creative youngsters. More Snowdonia time can be spent mountain biking around Llandegla Forest (if you’re feeling energetic) or taking a trip on the spectacular Snowdon Mountain Railway to the top of the mountain (if you’re not…).
