Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Great little site which is quiet and next to fields. A short walk to the local pub. The site was clean and well maintained.
There is noise from the road (particularly motorbikes), however this isn’t the sites fault and is out of their control.
Hassle free arrival/check out.
Disliked As stated on the description, there is a portaloo (if you are self contained, this isn’t an issue), but it would have been better if there was a ‘proper’ toilet. (Can’t fault the portaloo though, it was clean and well stocked).

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Relaxed set up meant you could choose your pitch, plenty of space (pitches aren’t defined).
Facilities were clean and well maintained.
Staff were so friendly and approachable, always on hand throughout the day and night.
Fire pits were available to hire.
Located close to settle (approx 15 mins walk).
Disliked (It’s not so much a ‘dislike’, more just information for others)
There are only 2 ‘real’ toilets and showers for each sex. The site have accommodated for more campers though and portaloos were dotted around the camping pitches (these were cleaned daily).
The cost per night was relatively high for a grass pitch without electric (in our opinion), although we stayed over the bank holiday so that may have been why.

Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire, England
Non-electric hardstanding and grass campervan pitch
Liked Relaxed, rustic and spacious site. There was space between pitches. We stayed on a gravel pitch which was flat, however it was the small gravel (which ends up covering your van).
Disliked Only 2 toilets in each (2 male and 2 female) which causes waits during peak times.
The water pressure in the sink is poor and the hand dryer is pretty pointless.

Electric optional hardstanding and grass motorhome pitch
Liked Friendly welcome, pristine facilities (and lovely and warm during a cold snap), food is amazing and very reasonable in price.
This is a great little site, the bar is cosy yet modern and the staff were attentive.
Thank you for accommodating us at short notice, we had a brilliant time and would definitely return.

Liked The site is a great size. Facilities were immaculately clean and felt homely. Will definitely be back. The site owner was available should they have been needed.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to write us a review 😊 we really appreciate it 😄😄
Keswick, Cumbria, England
Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch
Liked Quiet site, very spacious pitches (for our campervan and awning, plus plenty of space to sit out).
Authentic working farm, exactly as described.
The scenery is outstanding, short walk to a couple of pubs or a slightly longer walk (4 miles) into Keswick.
Disliked Difficult to say what was disliked as we had read the description and reviews so we’re fully aware of the type of site we were visiting.

Electric grass and earth pitch
Liked Friendly and informative check in. Clear signage of pitches, site very clean and tidy. When we stayed the weather was quite bad so there were sometimes a few muddy footprints in the toilets, but this is down to other campers, not the site! Cleaned regularly (along with a mop and bucket available if needed!)
Showers were nice and warm, room was plenty big enough and self contained (shower, toilet, hand dryer and heated towel rack).
Family friendly, there is a small park for children on site, with a brilliant field next to the site (we had a dog with us so the field was perfect!) there is a bigger play park on the field as well as football pitches. Town is a short walk away.
Water park was great fun, lots of different activities. (We did use a wowcher voucher to make it cheaper as there were 6 of us using the water park).
Brilliant site whether you want to relax or take part in activities.
Disliked Where do we complain about the weather haha

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Day before arrival, received a text detailing how to access the campsite along with our pitch number and info on where to pitch.
There is good signage directing you to the ‘tents’ area.
Camping field was clean and mostly flat (it is a field after all!)
The cabin containing toilets and showers were the cleanest camping toilets we’ve had! (Very friendly staff too!)
There is a field where you can exercise your dog (and no doubt children could play, however, due to the wet weather there were no children playing out).
Amazing free wifi was a brilliant addition to our stay!
This site is exactly as described, a small family run site on a working farm which comes with the sights and sounds of a farm, quiet yet family friendly.
Good sized washing up area which is covered (despite previous review saying it is open to the elements), it isn’t covered all the way around, however, when camping I’m not expecting a home from home sink area!
Secure site with CCTV which provided some reassurance of added security.
There are some walks around the site which are great, a small shop for any bits you may need is a 10 min walk away (opposite a local pub) which we also visited.
The grass was slightly longer than it probably would be usually, which as already explained on a previous review was so that we could get on and off the field following the yellow weather warning for rain (and rain it did!)
We really cannot fault the campsite at all, already trying to work out a date when we can return!
Thank you for having us and thank you for having such a brilliant site for us to test our new tent out!
Disliked Who can I complain to about the weather haha

Electric grass pitch
Liked Pitches were nice and big, electric hook up was ideal and the portaloo per pitch is a great idea!! The location of this site is brilliant for walks with family/friends/dog(s). Staff were very helpful and friendly. Our stay was exactly what we wanted/needed!
Disliked Not so much a dislike, but there could have been a couple more sinks for washing up. But a few minutes wait wasn’t the end of the world.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked The facilities were great. We came to Shaw Hall as this was the first site to come up when looking at availability during the bank holiday. It did not disappoint! We had a range of people, myself and husband, our children (12, 11 and 6 years old). Came as a group with other family (cousin and his wife plus their children - 10 and 5 years old). There was something for everyone, bar/pub with some entertainment on during the day and evening, huge park for children, laundrette (which came in handy after a downpour!), shower block and toilets. Staff were very helpful, polite and approachable.
Disliked Nothing!
