Liked Everything, friendly helpful host, stunning shepherd’s hut, very well equipped with everything you’d need for a self catered break, immaculately clean, comfy bed, private, beautiful setting with fantastic views, great peaceful location but easy enough access to the tourist hotspots of Scarborough, Whitby and Filey as well as some pretty villages with good pubs.

Liked Everything- the owners Julie and Gary are lovely, friendly and helpful, the Alpacas 🦙 make this a site with a difference and are great to see and learn about. The site is peaceful, relaxing and spotlessly clean. There are some nice little towns/villages well worth a visit nearby as well as the Humber Bridge viewing areas on either side of the river with some nice walks for the dog. This is our second visit and we will be back.

Disliked Nothing about the site which was fantastic but New Holland itself is somewhat lacking in facilities. The Chinese takeaway is good but the village would really benefit from a cafe (that is open) and a shop for basic provisions.

Liked Small, quiet, clean site, a real getaway from it all with nice views of the countryside. The owners Julie and Gary are lovely and very helpful and the Alpacas are awesome.

Liked Everything excellent site with level roomy pitches, quiet and very clean shower/toilet facilities (given It was Easter and the site was full). Friendly and very helpful owners. The site is right next to a fantastic pub and the river Bain in a pretty village location. Lots of places to walk the dog just off site and places to visit within a short drive.

Liked Everything. Nice clean pretty site with great layout, level pitches, clean spacious showers, free WiFi and cheap electric. The staff were friendly and helpful. Great tv reception (I mention this only as on this trip I tested my new aerial!). Especially rate the restaurant. Fantastic cakes, great food, great selection and top notch service. They even do take out drinks and caravan service! (think room service). A near perfect combination.

Liked Location in a great spot with easy access to Malton, Pickering and Helmsley all of which are worth a visit. Also within easy reach of flamingo land if that is your thing. Within walking distance of the Sun Inn in Normanby which serves great food and was recommended by the campsite owner. The site is set back off the main road so was nice and quiet apart from the sounds of nature! The owner is lovely and couldn’t have made us feel more welcome offering us some eggs on arrival from his rather free range chickens and checking everything was to our satisfaction. The bathroom facilities were kept clean and well stocked although were busy at peak times but that’s to be expected on a bank holiday weekend. We will be back again with our little yellow trailer.
