1 bedroom cottage / chalet / bungalow
Liked The place makes you feel like you an outdoors kinda couple. With the views are to die for. The sun set the hills absolutely beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. Shower nice and warm. This is outdoors type of retreat. Camping style kitchen with the hot plate available to cook on. With kettle and toster and fridge with small freezers. All crockery available and plenty of it. Towels great size and clean and colourful. Bedding the same comfy and clean. Plenty of blankets and outdoor seating area comfortable. A bbq available but we didn't use. A log fire again we didn't use due to nice weather. The owners cant do enough for you! You see them out they offer you a drink, offer you lifts so you dont have to book taxis or drive. John we met was a lovely chap and his daughter Rachel booked us in and she was fab also and works in the Ty coch and offered us transport also if we needed it after her shifts. Recycling area for you to sort rubbish. You dont really need a shower curtain as people cant really see in and its a nice view from shower but we asked for a shower curtain to make us feel more comfortable, with 5 minutes John had sorted and got one set up for us! Now you can't get better than that coustomer service. There is a sharing hot tub but we didn't use it, looked great though. Lovely touch of a little welcome hamper on a arrival and also got another bottle of bubbles while we where staying. What a place, converted us to doing more outdoors retreats! Thank you for our fabulous stay!
Disliked The driveway was a challenge for your suspension but we have a 4x4 so didn't effect us.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Every single little detail. This place is stunning. Tucked away and south facing so no wind with all the lovley sunshine. On arrival you are greated by a friendly lady who has plenty of time to talk through everything and doesn't rush you. Nice welcome. You can pitch where you like on nice stone hard standing pitches with a well kept grass area for your awning and relaxing. If there is a cone or a chair or table at pitch then you can't go in them for obvious reasons, a motor home has gone out for the day or it has been spasifically reserved for someone. Just a hint for the sun all day, drive all the way round the almost U shape area and go against the trees on the last few spaces. Each time someone leaves they are around checking out the pitch and giving the grass a quick mow to keep it perfect. The water and bin area is spotless and has a stunning little veranda with flowers growing over the top. So much attention to detail. To empty the toilet in caravan, the area is in a shed so clean and everyone looks after it. Nice little oniments and paintings even in there. The toilets and showers are spotless, the white walls are white the shower head are brilliant with stones and powerful, none of the stop start rubbish for 1 second, can turn on a proper shower and adjust the temperature as you would like it. I no this sounds daft but the shower curtain!!!! Material soft and doesn't stick to you like them horrible plastic ones. Plenty of room to dress and hooks for clothing with a stool.
Quiet and peaceful all day. Rules explained perfectly and everyone follows them. Makes the place so much better. Walks out of the sight are beautiful and a short walk into the town. Go to the Bath Arms Hotel for food and drinks and even try there amazing cocktail, delicious!!!!.
On Check out we popped in to say thank you for the stay. The chap that keeps the outside tidy and cuts the grass again was a lovely man and nice to talk to. I will 💯 recommend this place. I will definitely be returning myself. Thank you Cheddar Bridge. I leave a good review where credit is due.
Disliked Absolutely nothing!!!!! I put a 5 star on the children question as it is Adults only and I want them to have the best rating possible so happy that it was Adults only. Never stayed at an Adults one before, it has converted us.

Electric optional gravel and hardstanding touring pitch
Liked On our arrival we where met at the office by Rob. He gave is two options of touring pitches. We went on hard standing next to the rugby stand. Rob helped us guide the caravan in. Gave us some information of how to get into town, only a 10 minute walk. Nice location.
Toilet and shower block was close by. The showers where lovely and warm, well kept and clean. Nice clean toilets. We stayed down to watch a game but it was rearranged. This didnt bother us at sote was lovley and the town is worth a visit. Such a good location and will return again soon.

Electric grass pitch
Liked The park was huge, I loved the wild life of ducks entertaining us. The pitches where an ok size. For camper better than caravan. But plenty of room. Electric hook up was great. The drinking water and bins where near by so, did not have to go that far. Very much a self service site. Enter with key code and see no staff apart from cleaners. But they where on the end of the phone if we needed to contact them in any way. Toilet block clean and warm. Wooden huts for some and brick building for others.
Disliked I didn't realise, perhaps I didn't read it correctly but the water part and activities are not on site they are a walk or a short drive around the corner out of the entrance, but all sign posted.
I am not sure if the water and activities are part of camp site but the staff where not very welcoming apart from one chap on the inflatables and one lady by the golf/sky trail. In the cafe the staff where arguing and the drinks where very poor, the staff at car park didn't want to be there and the other staff around park looked fed up and wasn't interested.
Golf corse worn and dated with litter everywhere. ( again I must say, I am not sure if they are part of the caravan park)
Simple things such as a chair to sit or put clothes on or hooks to hang items on doors would be perfect as nothing at all in showers.
Very high step to get in and out of shower also in wooden huts.
The 5 secound push button way very annoying in shower. Barely got body wet in one push.
Pitches uneven.

Fully-serviced grass pitch
Liked The size of pitches where perfect and big with small tree hedge to keep to your own pitch. The park was small but nice. On arrival we had a nice welcome.
The park warden doing maintenence around the park was nice and chatty and helped with every need. Very big showers with plenty of room to sit, put your clothes and to dress. Fire pit per pitch with logs available to buy.
Location brilliant for Alton towers trip.
Disliked Shower room absolutely freezing as windows must stay open.
The owner rushed us in the rain to pay for our extra night booking while we where covered in mud and half way through putting awning up. Was addiment we could not wait and insisted on it being done instantly as the Internet was bad. As if we where going to run with out paying our extra day.

From the manager: We were very disappointed to receive a 6/10 review score from you after reading your “Likes”for our campsite we’re very positive but you had a grievance about paying for your extra night upon arrival. The other two groups in your party were only too happy to make their extra night payment on arrival which is what we ask people to do when a direct to campsite payment is due. The fact that it was raining is totally irrelevant as you were in a camper van but you chose to put your awning up straight away instead of waiting for the rain to ease of which it did. People arriving at a guest house or hotel don’t wait a couple of days before paying so why is a campsite any different? Regarding the open windows (only slightly open about 1inch on catches) we still take our guests welfare very seriously and continue to be Covid Aware. But there was nothing stoping you from closing the window while you took a shower and then reopening it afterwards! I think that the poor weather may have spoiled your camp and that maybe you are lashing out with a value for money review score of 4/10 which we have never had before and we feel that score is very unjustified. Regards from The Staff at Springfields.

Meadows electric grass touring pitch
Liked Liked the fact that there was everything we wanted all in one site
good location.
BUT!
Disliked No dedicated camping pitches it was a free for all. We were told by receptionist good luck finding a space.
Evening Entitainment did try there best but very poor we wear all board.
I no this is not the camp sites fault but the people around us were rude nasty and selfish. There was a very small amount of people around us that new how to smile.
There was fighting every day in the childrens park so our children felt unsafe. And on our last day some group of kids/adults thought they would trash all the female toilets by smearing poo every where and blocking all the toilets. I feel so sorry for the cleaners and i can not believe people that are classed as humans could do such a selfish act.
The swimming pool- dirty could not see the bottom and over packed, only 7 changing cubicles for the pool and about 50 lockers. If u can imagine it was a shambles with over 50 people using the pool at one time.
