What customers say
This large, peaceful campground offers spacious sites & direct river access, great for water activities & walks. Staff are consistently praised as friendly & helpful. Facilities are generally reported as clean, though some guests noted they are basic or could benefit from more frequent cleaning. While many enjoy the open space & relaxed atmosphere, some visitors found electric sites cramped & noted noise from other campers & nearby roads. The closed adventure park was a disappointment for some.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked Everything was absolutely fine. I would just like to mention that it was difficult to find the entrance to the site; clearer and more visible signs are needed.
Beautiful nature, a river, and a wonderful time relaxing there. I recommend it 100%.

From the manager: Thank you for choosing to stay with us and sharing your photos.
The brown road signs on the approach(tourist and leisure) indicate the Hop Farm and there are signs on entry however google maps likes to take people towards Paddock Wood.
We look forward to welcoming you again.
We return to this campground again…
Primitive grass campsite
Liked We return to this campground again and again. We absolutely love it. There are several fields so it never feels crowded, you can spread out and not feel on top of the next pitch. You can pick blackberries and sloe berries as seasonal. There are trees around the edges for options to pitch in partial shade. There are beautiful trails to walk or bike ride alongside the river.
The toilets are always very clean and stocked. The showers are private and clean.
The site managers Sue and Ian are super helpful for anything you need help with. There's a small shop on site for basics and there's also a good sized Co-op tied to the petrol station just down the road for all of the things you may have forgotten or need to restock on. Every other weekend in summer there's a boot fair walking distance from your pitch, but not loud or disruptive.
Best of all, the river runs through the campsite and there are multiple spots with rope swings over the water for the kids to safely play. You can bring your kayaks or paddle boards with easy access with steps too.
It's simply a fantastic site, for tents or caravans, that pleases everyone. Our kids range in age from 5-19 and they all love this site.
Disliked There aren't a lot of electric pitches, it could do with more but I think this is in the works.

From the manager: Thank you for choosing to stay with us and that you enjoyed yourselves.
There is now blue/green algae in the river which can cause severe vomiting and diarrhea and potentially life threatening to dogs, therefore we are advising not to go in the river until there is a substantial amount of rain to clear it.
We look forward to welcoming you again.
