Disliked Rubbish everywhere around the farm, toilet block always dirty, no hot water for shower or washing up.

From the manager: There are lots of bins around the site for guests to tidy up after themselves, we do come around tidying up during the day as much as possible.
The Sunday you were here the showers and toilets were cleaned continuously for 12 hours and on the Monday 3 times,in-between cleans the facilities can become messy, we do ask guests to tidy up after themselves unfortunately not everyone does this.
As soon as we were notified of there not being any hot water this was fixed.

Liked Easy check in and no check out. Loads of space. I liked the ability to pitch where ever i wanted. I forgot the matches at home and the receptionist gave us a small box for free, which i really appreciated.

Disliked I think if it was busier then another toilet block would be needed in the other fields.

Disliked Permanent neighbour very abusive and threatening to us and our dogs, making us feel very uncomfortable, with there stuff overflowing onto our pitch,lots of rubbish everywhere, toilets no loo roll, and very dirty .

From the manager: The issue with the neighbour was brought to our attention on your last night and with discussions it was decided you would rather wait until you left before it was dealt with.
I presume the lots of rubbish everywhere is in reference to your neighbours.
The soap and toilet roll is replenished when being cleaned, on the Saturday and Sunday they were cleaned continuously for 12 hours, in-between cleans the facilities can become messy, we do ask guests to tidy up after themselves unfortunately not everyone does this.

Liked Riverside fishing was great as was the paddle boarding on site. Lots of camping space in the non serviced pitches, would be great for large camping groups. Toilet block was clean and the staff were very nice.

Disliked The campsite was a little run down with a lot of rubbish everywhere, part of the site seems to be used as a storage facility for buses and lorries, quite a few lived in static caravans. There is only one toilet block for a large site and people were having to drive across site to use it so there were a lot of vehicles driving around.

From the manager: After a very dry few weeks with the grass very brown and barren looking the campsite was not at it`s best then to make your stay even worse over the August bank holiday weekend was the amount of rain we suddenly experienced.
There are lots of bins provided around the campsite for guests to put their rubbish in, however not everyone does this. We are not able to drive constantly around looking for litter or abandoned rubbish to clear, we do point out the number on the front of check-in cards for any issues whilst staying on site.
There are 2 toilet and shower blocks which are located next to each other, many returning guests bring toilet tents for night time use.
The coaches and lorries are not parked on the campsite grounds but near the business area which used to be the farm.

Liked We went non electric field and I liked the fact you can choose which field u want to go on and pitch up where u want, the kids was jumping in the river of a swing someone had made on a tree, walks in the forest, 10minute drive to Asda which I found very handy, staff was very welcoming at the reception. Would 100% come back in the future.

Liked Plenty of open fields for the kids to play - we brought our own cricket, football & Frisbee for their entertainment.
Plenty of water points on field C.
The river was easily accessible by walking through the toilet block field and the field beyond that - kids loved their swim in the river & using the rope swings.
Toilets and showers were clean when I visited. They were continuously cleaned 7am-7pm throughout our bank holiday stay - the cleaning lady was always lovely. Outside of those hours there was muddy footprints which was to be expected considering the down pours we had!
Was a nice touch that a lady on a golf buggy alerted us that we could use fires again on the Saturday (although we didn't)

Disliked The weather - typical bank holiday (LOL!)
