What customers say
This large, roomy campground offers direct river access, perfect for water sports. Plenty of well-spaced sites, especially in non-electric areas. Facilities usually clean, though some wanted more frequent cleaning/better amenities in remote fields. Staff are often friendly & helpful. Occasional noise from campers/traffic noted.

It was my first time out solo in my new tent box with my dogs.
Primitive grass campsite
Liked I loved how you could just find a spot and set up camp. I was able to take my dogs, and have just a quiet and relaxed evening.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked I like everything about this campsite but most of all the shear size
I like to be out the way of everyone which is easy here
Been here before and will keep coming back lovely campsite
My 2 kids and dog love it with the space and surroundings, mix of feild and woods.
The fields are always well maintained and everywhere is tidy, sitting out through the night feels like a proper wild camp without being surrounded by a load of other tents.

Liked It was quiet
Disliked Its smelt awful.the man in the office was rude and unwelcomming and there was absolutely nothing to do

From the manager: The toilets and showers have regular cleans, however being toilets and the nature of what they are used for they may be smelly at times. We have many complimentary comments regarding the facilities.
I disagree with your comment on arrival saying the man in the office is rude and unwelcoming, not everyone has an upbeat manner of talking.
When you look to book on Pitch-up we do not advertise as having any entertainment, we have country and river walks with the emphasis on being outdoors enjoying each other’s company. Perhaps a site with a club house would be more suited to your needs.
Okay for a night
Powered grass campsite
Liked Nice to be on the river
Wasn’t too busy
Loads of space if non electric
Disliked The campsite needs some love this would have been a great site back in the day when the farm was open and had money spent on it! Now it’s a bit sad with lots of long term residents making it look like a shanty town and a work van car park.
The traffic noise from near by road is loud and the vehicle movement on site at 7am is noisy.
We was all told no fires due to extreme dry weather but there was 1 each night we was there.
The pub/restaurant is a run down brewers fayre which is due to close so don’t expect that.
It is on river but very basic bank area with lots of rubbish.
Toilets okay cleanish showers need to be bigger so u can keep stuff inside cubicles but smell from ladies bins was awful esp coz of hot weather!
