Lovely campsite in the beautiful Dorset…
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Lovely campsite in the beautiful Dorset countryside. It’s a 5 minute walk through the fields to a great local pub with a welcoming landlady. The pitches were well kept and the facilities were clean and well maintained with shower blocks at both ends of the site.
Disliked During our stay, noise levels in the evening were quite high with a number of guests still being loud until midnight despite site rules. This did affect our experience and is something worth being aware of when booking. Also, the showers are solar heated so we’re not always very hot.

Disliked Showers cold even after dawn (10am). Info on showers needs to be updated. It says do not use after dusk or before dawn as solar powered and so unlikely to be warm. Sunrise was at 5am. Even the showers by the cafe were cold. Need to consider a secondary way to warm the water on cloudy days with sunny spells espcially with lake swimming and paddleboarding. No mirrors by the sinks in the eco block.
Staff in the cafe weren't very accommodating. My friend asked for a slice of toast at breakfast and was told they couldn't do this as they needed the bread for sandwiches during the day.
