A aimé : The site, the pitch size, the shower block, the space
N'a pas aimé: The cafe is usually shut Tuesday and Wednesday so a friend and I planned a quick break Monday-Tuesday. Lunch to be at the cafe with coffee and cold drinks, so this was how we catered. On arrival, cafe closed all day Monday for first aid training. An update had been put on FB page for the cafe but nothing for campers. Luckily we were able to buy a couple cold drinks but no food. Just for info, if cafe is closed also update the campsite FB page. We weren't the only ones caught out

A aimé : Absolutely gorgeous campsite. The whole weekend was amazing. Nice warm showers, clean toilets, friendly staff, dog friendly and beautiful walks and an absolutely beautiful lake and cafe.

A aimé : Loved the relaxed family feel to the campsite. Very well kept, super shower block. The lake was a treat 😁. Great site for the whole family and your furry friends.
N'a pas aimé: Shower/ washing up water could have been hotter

A aimé : Lovely setting in beautiful countryside. The lake and lakeside cafe were great too. There is a stream running from the site which our dog loved. Well marked walks to the pub and further afield. The wood burners and starry skies are a great selling point.
N'a pas aimé: The new toilet facilities looked great but lacked things like mirrors and running cold water. They were clean but the smaller block nearer the cafe were not cleaned in the time we were there. Toilet paper on the floor after 24 hours isn’t acceptable. Unfortunately the toilets and showers here are used by the day trippers as well as campers. Think this needs to be more clearly defined.

A aimé : Level grass pitches with plenty of space, even at the weekend. Clean facilities. Excellent cafe and just a few minutes walk along a dedicated footpath to a friendly local pub. We'll be back, again!

A aimé : Everything! Such a chilled place (midweek outside of school holidays). Lake was amazing and I love the new improvements with the edge, ramp and pontoon.
Showers and toilets good too.

A aimé : Clean, tidy. Quiet and easy-going vibe. Peaceful location with plenty of birdlife. The lake is beautiful and so clear. Brilliant to be able to swim in it as part of the pitch cost. Great new shower/toilet/washing up block that’s solar powered. Lovely to not have any mirrors so posing is kept to a minimum!

A aimé : All of it! We've stayed 2 or 3 times before, great there are plenty of spacious showers and toilets and wash up sinks now..
The lake is obviously the main attraction, it's good to have the field next door for football so we didn't have to worry about the ball hitting people.
The cafe does amazing coffee, iced latte was spot on.
N'a pas aimé: The showers in the new solar block weren't always hot, but they had only just opened and the owners were really responsive when made aware and sorted it quickly so it wouldn't put me off going back.
