General
- Family-friendly farm site on the Isle of Purbeck
- On the edge of Langton Matravers; five minutes' drive from Swanage
- Adventure farm with a petting zoo, indoor soft play centre and café
Putlake Adventure Farm is a family-friendly site set on the edge of Langton Matravers, a peaceful Dorset village. The Isle of Purbeck, where this site is located, may actually be a peninsula, but you'll never be far from the sea on this scenic stretch of land – Swanage beach is a five-minute drive away, while the spectacular vistas and crashing waves of Dancing Ledge are a 40-minute walk away through the fields.
Oodles of footpaths pass right outside the site, including car-free trails that you can take to the historic village of Corfe Castle (you can also drive there in about 10 minutes). And just in case this all-round top location wasn't already fab enough, Putlake Adventure Farm is a quarter of a mile from a pub where there’s a cosy little beer garden…
When you roll up here you'll be free to pick the spot you best like the look of and get settled down on the grassy main field. If you unpack and realise you've forgotten something, the handy on-site shop is on hand to tide you over with essentials for the duration of your stay.
Facilities here include toilets and a washing-up point. A popular adventure farm with a petting zoo, indoor soft play area and café is located on the same site (a separate fee applies to enter the farm). Please note that while VW-style campervans can use this site, it's not suitable for larger motorhomes.
