What customers say

This is a highly recommended, well-maintained site with stunning sea views and direct beach access. Visitors consistently praise the cleanliness of the facilities, the friendly and helpful staff, and the wide range of activities for all ages. The on-site shop and food options, particularly the fish and chips, are popular. While most found the site excellent, a few minor points included patchy WiFi, steep inclines on some pitches, and a desire for more bins. Dogs are not permitted on the beach.

Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch

Liked We stayed at Ladram Bay Holiday Park for two nights (originally booked for three). The campsite is large and well-equipped – everything you need is on site, including a shop, restaurant, playground, and entertainment. The play area for children was excellent, and the restaurant food was very good, though pricey. The location is beautiful, close to the sea and scenic walks. Staff were friendly, and the booking process was smooth. It’s a great place for families who enjoy activity and don’t mind being around lots of people.

Disliked Unfortunately, there were several downsides. The campervan pitches were small and too close together, with little privacy. The whole site is on a slope, so everything is uphill, which can be tiring. Our pitch had no view – just bushes. There were too few toilets/showers for the number of guests, and the pool was not included – you had to pay extra. We paid £222 for 3 nights, which felt too expensive for what we got. Overall, it felt more like a busy resort than a peaceful nature getaway, so we left after two nights. Great for people who like crowds and activities – not for those seeking quiet or nature.

Electric grass tent pitch

Liked Gorgeous location, super proximity to the beach. Fab facilities, nice clean toilets and showers. Handy laundry facilities.

Disliked Aggressive seagulls!
Extra cost for swimming as campers.
No phone signal (some may see this as a positive) and poor WiFi.

Electric grass tent pitch

Liked A special place with a fabulous bay. This is not our usual type of camping, but we really appreciated the help of the concierge who kindly brought us an adaptor for electricity.

Disliked The restaurant's toilets force you to go through the game room, really necessary to train the children so early on?

Electric grass tent pitch

Liked Very clean, great beach, we loved the boat rides. Very friendly staff. Accommodation lovely and very clean. Lots of things for children to do, entertainment good.

Disliked Nothing we didn’t like about this park, it’s our favourite one we’ve visited to far. Only thing is they do the typical making the price go up horrendously during the summer holidays. On leaving, we tried to book again but left it because the cost was nearly 6x the amount we paid during school term time. Just not affordable for working families at nearly 2grand for 4 nights.

Local attractions

Once you’re ready to go off site – sometime around week two, probably – the South West Coast Path is steps away and has stellar walks to Budleigh Salterton to the west and Sidmouth to the east. Inland, the Budleigh Salterton to Otterton five-mile walk follows the banks of the River Otter; the Otter Valley Wildlife Walk is an easy stroll through the Lower Otter Valley nature reserve to look out for kingfishers and waders from the river’s viewing platforms and hides. Twitchers can also head inland to the Exe Estuary RSPB reserve 13 miles away to see migratory birds or book a boat trip to spot avocets. Finally, if fishing’s your main hook, you won’t have far to go: many Ladram Bay guests fish from the park’s own cove, hiring a boat from the kiosk and going out to land mackerel for the grill.
