What customers say
This is a quirky, family-friendly campsite with a strong emphasis on activities for children, including go-karts, a sandpit and craft sessions. Guests frequently praise the friendly and helpful owners, clean facilities (including outdoor showers), and the availability of communal items like BBQs and fire pits. Pitches are generally described as spacious. Some guests mention road noise as a minor drawback, and a few reviews from earlier in 2024 noted that the site appeared a little rundown, though later reviews do not reflect this.

Nice small camp for family with children, safe, packed with activities
Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Lots of toys, areas for kids, organised activities, cozy and comfortable. Really helpful owners, tried to think of everything a camper needs (or forgets to bring)
Disliked Maybe not for people looking for peace and quiet

Liked Really enjoyed our stay, ruggered facilities but wholesome and just what we wanted for a nights stay. Our kids absolutely loved the go-karts. Warm, clean showers and toilets. Free to use bbqs and furniture. Would definitely stay again.

Liked Creative Camping – A Lovely Little Campsite
This was our first time staying at Creative Camping, and what a lovely little site it turned out to be!
The campsite is fairly small, with well-spaced, good-sized pitches, and everything feels very friendly and relaxed. There are clean indoor toilets and showers, as well as outdoor showers, which are a fantastic idea when the weather is hot and you just want to cool off.
I brought my granddaughter with me, who absolutely loves camping, and she had a brilliant time. She made some new friends, enjoyed all the activities and had such a great time that we ended up extending our stay by another two nights!
There are fire pits and barbecues available to use, and you can buy firewood and kindling directly from the site, which makes things really convenient. There are also plenty of things to keep children entertained, including go-karts, a playhouse and lots of other toys and activities.
A special mention has to go to the owners, Kim and Gary, who were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Nothing seemed too much trouble.
One thing I particularly liked was how secure the site felt. There is a gate controlling access in and out, which is always kept closed. If you’re camping with children, that’s a really reassuring feature, as you know they’re not going to simply wander straight out of the campsite.
Honestly, I couldn’t find much fault with the place. It’s friendly, relaxed, well looked after and has everything you need for a great family camping trip.
Would I stay here again? Absolutely! In fact, I’m already looking forward to coming back. 😊🏕️

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked • Clean shower block and toilets.
• Flat land for easy camping.
• Location easy to find.
• Having access to a kettle and microwave.
• Bikes / toys were great for children
• Free BBQ hire
• Advertising the days and times of the ice cream van that comes on site.
Disliked • Wished the shop had clear opening times, even if just for a few hours a day, as I would have loved to have made a few purchases of craft kits (which were mentioned on the welcome letter) and memorabilia but it was always closed unfortunately.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked We really liked the safe child friendly surroundings.
We enjoyed the site being small as felt it was perfect for younger children.
The ride on trikes and go karts were a big hit with all the family.
It was also really handy having the use of a shared fridge and freezer.
The toilets and showers and kitchen areas were cleaned daily which is always a bonus.
The outside showers were great especially during the lovely weather we are having.
The owners were really friendly and welcoming and showed us around on arrival.
The little shop sold lots of creative sets which would be lovely to do if the weather wasn't so nice.
Disliked The inside shower had really hot water though maybe I just didn't know how to control it.
